[SOLVED] Problems with User Page URL was created by Taulant

Problems with User Page URL since activate the Advanced SEF

Hello,
have the following problem.
I have K2 Advanced SEF URLs enabled, with items URLs is everything OK, but with the User Pages not. User Pages are redirected to Home Page. To resolve this problem, I created a "Hidden" menu with menu item "show" and assigned to all Categories, as described in the article getk2.org/blog/1169-k2-v265-released. This has not resolved the issue, User Pages are still redirected to Home Page and now have duplicate content. Please help, anyone knows this problem. Installed versions: Joomla 2.5.8 and K2 2.6.5. You should upgrade to the latest versions of Joomla! and K2.

Thank you for your reply, I will install the updates.

Needs "Hidden" menu in K2 version 2.6.6?, Or can i delete this?

You should probably keep it in order to keep your URLs intact

I updated Joomla to 2.5.11 and K2 to 2.6.6 and the problem has been not resolved :-(

Last test, direct menu links to select users or tags works, but Menu Item Point to all Category’s doesn’t work. I have more than one user and need to point to all Categories.

Have you selected all the categories in your show menu item manually?

From what I can see you have not selected the parent category.
And for better performance select you should not include items from subcategories.

I 've submitted it in the bugtracker, and we 'll let you know abou this. For the time being you can create menu items for your authors in order to solve your issue.

Have you any SEF extensions installed? If yes you should disable K2 advanced SEF settings and let those generate the URLs of your site. Also, ensure that you do not have any menu items with the aliases used by K2 SEF settings.

I not use additional SEF (only Joomla integrated SEF). For your information, the two SEO plugins (SEOSimple & SEO friendliy Links and Images) are active. I checked there are no menu items (enabled, disabled, trashed) with alias as used in SEF settings (content,tag,author,search,date).

SEOSimple & SEO friendliy Links and Images are not part of the core Joomla!. Try to disable them and see if that fixes your issue.

OK probably the issue is caused by your template. If you request the author URL using another template, it renders correctly, which means that the routing is made correct by K2. You can verify this here www.10minuta.com/author/76-ac?template=atomic. This means that you should revise your template code and see why it does not output the component buffer.

It's a template error. Template not supports the new K2 features. As a solution, I have created for all users a user menu item and it works.
