Try disabling the "item" menu item.

Sometimes using reserved words (like item, media, itemlist, images) in menu titles can lead to issues.

I'm having the same issue, but don't quite understand what you mean by "Try disabling the "item" menu item." Was that specific to Fred's site, or am I just missing something?
Thanks for any help,
Neal

<<I mean disable or trash that particular menu item>>
But where is that menu item? I'm not finding it.
And if the Item menu is specific to Fred's site, why might I be having the same problem?
For example, if you go here:
www.reunionplanner.com/find-a-location/find-a-location/usa/south-carolina?Itemid=158
then click on Read More or the Item title, a 404 will occur. It only happens on certain Items.
Thanks,
Neal

You are facing different issues. The solution posted for Fred was for reserved words in menu items.
A 3rd party extension appears to add ?Itemid=158 in your URLS which causes the 404 error.
Possibly it is a misconfiguration of an SEO/SEF extension.

I have had a great experience with JoomSEF & Joomla 1.6 up to Joomla 2.5. It seems my best option is investing 10 Euro in this to get good K2 URLs.
Does anyone use another SEO extension for K2 that is 1: Free or 2: available for Joomla 2.5 & 3.x?
PS: Fred, I like your website, but you would probably benefit from JoomSEF with that K2 Extension. It should eliminate the Joomla article ID number that preceeds every URL that's being generated, giving you simpler URLs anyone can easily remember or type.
