top level menu items pointing to wrong page was created by buzibuzi
Hi,
each of my top level menu items are defined to point to latest items in unique categories.
but the Joomla SEF urls generated for them are all pointing to a url which is the first top menu item.
take a look:
www.iyy.co.il/
attached screenshot to describe the problem.
when i turn off joomla sef the links are ok.
this is a serious issue for me, can someone assist ?
Thanks

Hello buzibuzi,
I am not sure you can have this with non UTF-8 permalinks.
You can try one of the following.
Use transliteration (K2' params), these will not be Hebrew URLs but they will be Hebrew with Latin Characters.
Use an SEO extension like sh404sef (be very carefull if they indeed support Hebrew permalinks).
You should also google this issue about Hebrew URLs to see if there are any server side solutions as well.

Hi,thanks for answering.
Im not sure i understand. this hebrew is UTF-8 encoded.
and if it can't be done with Hebrew then how come the first item url works and the others are duplicates of it ? according to this logic even the first one would not work won't it :
first item url : www.iyy.co.il/%D7%9B%D7%A1%D7%A3/latest
second item url : www.iyy.co.il/%D7%9B%D7%A1%D7%A3/latest
third item url : www.iyy.co.il/%D7%9B%D7%A1%D7%A3/latest ...
this makes me think the problem is not with the hebrew but something else.
im using MijoSEF, but even if disabled same result.
only way to fix it is turning off Joomla SEF but then i lose all my already indexed url's.
how to use " transliteration (K2' params)" ?
attached is my configuration, is this correct ?
Thanks again

right now as a temp solution im changing the top menu top level url to an external one with a hard coded link.
im leaving top menu #4 from the left (עבודה ולימודים) untouched for demonstration/testing purposes.
