I have setup a site and loaded my template. The site works fine except that all of the K2 content has a beige background and I cannot change it. Is this controlled somewhere differently from the rest of the Joomla template ?

K2 uses css from components/com_k2/css/k2.css . To change the appearance, you can copy this k2.css file and put it into your templates/<yourtemplate>/css/ folder.

K2 will now use the css from this location. You can change the background color properties in this file and it will reflect the changes on the frontend.

Not advisable to edit the k2.css in the components/com_k2/css folder
