Any thoughts?
Many thanks

Do you use K2 template overrides? If yes, compare the item.php you have in your overrides with the default one provided in the component folder.

Thanks for the reponse.
No I'm not usng overrides. Just the standard protostar template.
I have copied the k2.css folder to my template folder but that's it.
I have been building 2 sites at the same time and am having the same problem on both. Never experienced this before on many sites using Joomla 2.5 and K2
Any thoughts?
Many thanks

Check if the form loads but something hides it through CSS or javascript. Check through page source.

Have tried to login with a super admin account and still no form?
I'm asking you this because it might be a user permissions issue.

Yes, in fact the super user is the only one set at present on one site. On the other exactly the same issue, as both a registered user and the super user.
I have been having trouble getting a captcha to work on any of the sites forms (either site) so I have also disabled these, but no change.
If I set to Enable Everyone, no problem, but Enabled registered users only, blank.
Trying to think if I've done anything different from what I would normally do, but no.
If you're puzzled as well, maybe I've done something really daft. But on 2 sites at the same time.... can't imagine what!

You should assign your Registered users to a K2 User group and append the right permissions for them in order to be able to post comments. (How didn't I thought of that earlier??)
For the reCaptcha issue maybe this post will help you.

Thank you! That worked, But..... am I having a brainstorm! I've built a couple of sites with comments active before but I don't remember ever having taken that action. but then.... maybe I was using the K2 login form before!!
Wow, been working with Joomla and K2 for years and feel genuinely confused! Still first time with Joomla 3.x and everything looks a bit different anyway.
Thanks a million for your help I was beginning to dispair. Will check out the link for the captcha.
Sincerest thanks
Jo

Yiota, thanks again. I have spent my entire day on those 2 issues. Both have now been resolved.
Excellent!
