I would like to limit incoming all characters as a main article (not intro) to any quantity - e.g 1500 characters. Is it possible to set globally similar value? Maybe there is any extension especially for k2?

I am using k2 articles as a description only, not as articles.

I haven't heard of such an extension.

You can either create a K2 plugin which triggers a JS character limit for the administration area or override itemform.php and include that JS script for the frontend as well.
