i have a problem with showing item author.

in the beginning it seems to be simple problem ( may be it is )

the problem is : there is written by BUT there is noooo author name

i showed every thing about author in category view option and item view option in category list.

Any ideas

Kind of a silly question so please excuse me for asking.

Have you set an empty author alias or did you use the author alias field?

Finally if you browse the item with the default template, is it showing the author?

PS. use the ?template=system as a suffix to your URLS to browse the item with the system template.

i have tried to write in the Alias field as well with no success. I have tried also the default template with no change

I can see in the item details that an author has not been saved.

Can you try again with
a) An alias
b) With a new item

and tell me if the issue is specific with a set of items?

Did you try without setting an author alias?

Also if you are using Joomla! 3.2.1 please update to the 2.6.8 DEV build - getk2.org/assets/get/

i tried :

• with author alias
• without author alias
• in item view option in the category
• in item view option in the item itself
• in k2 parameter

I'm already using joomla 3.2.1 so i will try 2.6.8 DEV build

I have the same problem with Joomla 2.5.17

No Author will be displayed - only "written by" in German "geschrieben von".

With "www.alexanderriegler?template=system" - there is no "written by" - is this a problem of the template bt_arise?
Not possible - on the testserver with the same template everything is okay. There I can use the fontsize tool - on my website not - it does not work / not displayed


What can I do? I looks so bad.

In the item.php file locate and comment out the following block of code
In the URL you sent me I see the URLs are changed. Are you using an SEO extension or K2's advanced SEF?

Did you by any chance change any users?

I was now searching for the file item.php - there so many files with the same name in the folders. Which one is the right one?

Yes, mijosef is now history - I use only the K2-sef tool. Why not - it works fine. But I belive it needs more time to load the site.

The users - normal.

Beside I am searching for the item-file. I found more than 20 - I reduce them to k2 folder.

The font size function is also working.
