I want to link articles together. I have a category of hikes in the mountain and a category for hotel and camping, I would like to be able to link these 2, so for this hike you can go to this hotel.

I can 'link' manually in the content of the hike to the other hotel article, but I would like to have an extra field that would direct me directly to a post chooser - or something like the link tool in the default editor, which would let me choose an article.

Anyway to make that happen? Is there a plugin for that? and if not, would there be a way to override K2 to create an extrefield type for article links?

Searching around, I would love to see a jce link type of plugin for an extra field... I guess if I add a text box that could almost do the trick, if the jce editor is to be used...

I am not sure there is a plugin for that, but from what i understand you could use the k2 tagging system and link both articles using same tag.

Yeah the tagging work, but it's not really nice for the client. At this point, I made an extra field as a text box and using the jce editor, so the client have to click on the add link and choose one k2 article. Not the greatest but not too bad. I'm looking into the javascript now to see if I can output the JCE while removing most of the button and only leaving the link button..

You can manage profiles in JCE and set what to show, but these i believe will effect on all text area that displays the editor.

I hope I can overide some part of the admin section to tweak the editor at that moment... but might not work.
