Layout issue when publishing comment on k2 item

Clicking read-more on the intro displays the full item is showed correctly in the template structure.
However, when a comment on an item is approved by the moderator, the layout of the whole website suddenly changes.
The template is lost, the blog layout is gone, no css settings. This is only for the item for which a comment is published.
Unpublishing the comment and refresh the page shows the correct layout again.
I use K2 2.7 with J3.5.1. and helix-3 template.
I also use an override (templates/templatename/html/com_k2/overridename) for items but i can't figure out what this has to do with publishing comments.
Any notion?

The css of the template is removed. It appears the item is displayed i a new window without inheriting the template or k2 css.
Comments for this item are also not displayed, in fact that's where this messages appear.
Error reporting says:

Did you try to reinstall K2 ? If you switch templates ( e.x Beez3) do you have the same issue ?
