After updating joomla and all components to the latest version, the K2 stopped working fine. I can not add new article and edit existing articles. When
Clicking on the "new article" icon shows a white page. When I click on the "articles" I see a list of articles but I can not edit them

Krikor, thank you for your help.

Here is the actual error in the white page when I enable error report:

Strict Standards: Declaration of plgK2swmap::onRenderAdminForm() should be compatible with K2Plugin::onRenderAdminForm(&$item, $type, $tab = '') in /home/usharece/public_html/plugins/k2/swmap/swmap.php on line 0

Fatal error: Call to undefined method SocialPage::processScripts() in /home/usharece/public_html/plugins/k2/easysocial/easysocial.php on line 121

Would you help me further with this error? Please note I have easyscocial component on my site. Do you need easysocial.php file? Somehow I can not add or load file in the joomlawork attachments

Thank you so much

In what file can this be verified? Is there another solution besides adding a
defines.php
file?

Fatal error in K2 Tools Module

Category: English K2 Community

I received several instances of this warning/error pair in the `error_log` at one time:
[28-Jan-2017 17:27:53 America/Detroit] PHP Warning: require_once(/path/to/siteDScomponentsDScom_k2DShelpersDSroute.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /path/to/site/modules/mod_k2_tools/helper.php on line 13 [28-Jan-2017 17:27:53 America/Detroit] PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/path/to/siteDScomponentsDScom_k2DShelpersDSroute.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /path/to/site/modules/mod_k2_tools/helper.php on line 13
Line 13 of `helper.php` is:
require_once (JPATH_SITE.DS.'components'.DS.'com_k2'.DS.'helpers'.DS.'route.php');

Is K2 breaking down all of the sudden? Do I need to go through all the core K2 files changing 'DS' to '/' until a patch is made? Or, is the solution suggested previously better?

OK, I have changed:
require_once (dirname(__FILE__).DS.'helper.php');
To:
require_once (dirname(__FILE__).'/'.'helper.php');
Please update this thread and the associated bug report when an official solution/patch/update is given.

This is already defined elsewhere so this is a temp solution.
99% this will also work since you it is unlikely that you are using a Windows machine. For the time being however I 'd suggest that you edit the file I mentioned.

This was suggested:

Create a defines.php file at the main website directory with the following code:

<?php define('DS', '/'); ?>

Is this the correct solution? Is there an official K2 patch for this issue?

Fatal error in K2 Tools Module

Category: English K2 Community

Every so often, I get this error in one of the sites I manage:
[16-Dec-2016 17:08:20 America/Detroit] PHP Warning: require_once(/path/to/site/modules/mod_k2_toolsDShelper.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /path/to/site/modules/mod_k2_tools/mod_k2_tools.php on line 19 [16-Dec-2016 17:08:20 America/Detroit] PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/path/to/site/modules/mod_k2_toolsDShelper.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /path/to/site/modules/mod_k2_tools/mod_k2_tools.php on line 19

This error first occurred on September 29 and has occurred many more times in the `error_log` since. Here is line 19 of `mod_k2_tools.php`:
require_once (dirname(__FILE__).DS.'helper.php');

Since `/path/to/site/modules/mod_k2_toolsDShelper.php` DOES NOT exist on the server, I'm guessing the actual path should be `/path/to/site/modules/mod_k2_tools/helper.php` since that file DOES exist.

What should be the correct reference to this file?

Hello,
after installing the k2 master from
github.com/getk2/k2
I tried to enter to the plugin SW Tabs for K2 and I get a blank page with this message

SW Tabs for K2
k2 / swtabs

SW Tabs for K2 - Tabs for K2 done right!

If I activate Error Reporting Developpment
I get

Fatal error: Call to undefined method K2HelperHTML::loadjQuery() in /home/qcontrol/public_html/newweb/plugins/k2/swtabs/elements/categoriesmultiple.php on line 26

In this line there is
K2HelperHTML::loadjQuery();

How can I fix it?
Seems there is a conflict with K2 with K2 store and now with tabs also..
(PS error also in imgur I cant include screenshot...)

Thanks Krikor, for your reply!

It took me almost two weeks to recover from what happened mentally, but today I decided to give it another shot.

I did this:
  • update joomla
  • update k2 master zip
  • clear cache
  • error reporting maximum

lots of these warnings on the frontend homepage::
Notice: Use of undefined constant K2_JVERSION - assumed 'K2_JVERSION' in /home/grancanariainfo/public_html/components/com_k2/helpers/route.php on line 184
and:
Fatal error: Class 'K2Model' not found in /home/grancanariainfo/public_html/components/com_k2/helpers/route.php on line 311

  • disabled all k2 plugins
  • homepage: page not found (no more error reporting, joomla sef plugin takes over and shows 'matches')
  • enabled k2 system plugins
  • back to fatal error again, k2model
  • restored backup
p.s. every action in the admin part takes a lot of time: to get to the next page after hitting a button to make it do something, takes a minute or so to actually do something.

What should I do?
Thanks!
