joomla 1.7
k2 updated to version 2.6.0, and immediately there was an error -

Fatal error: Cannot make static method JModel::addIncludePath() non static in class K2Model in /home/pxxxxx/www/mysite.com/administrator/components/com_k2/models/model.php on line 40

in the backend, we can not act, constantly displays the indicated error, my site is dead, what to do? Help!

I managed to manually delete the specific error folder and the administrative page returned.

But another failed attempt while trying to install k2 2.5.7

After reading this post, I do not think this is 100% my situation. I am trying to display the k2 content module on the home page. In this module I want to display a single custom field for each of the different items

 Hello, I'm having trouble with the registration form and reCaptcha, it is not recognizing the words entered:

 After this, the system displays: The words you entered did not match those shown. Please try again.
 
 Since I tried several times in different browsers and got the same result, I disabled the plugin and set it to NO in k2 parameters, but then it appears this error when I try to registrate a new user:
 
 Fatal error: Call to a member function checkAnswer() on a non-object in /libraries/cms/form/rule/captcha.php on line 52
 
 Does anyone knows how to fix this?

Hi

I have recently set up a site with K2 on Joomla 2.5.7, everything is up to date.
I have installed the Disqus plugin and it appears to work on the site however it is generating a massive error_log file on the server. The file is full of lines like:
[02-Oct-2012 11:20:56 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Class 'JParameter' not found in /home/ukgay/public_html/plugins/k2/disqus_k2/disqus_k2.php on line 76
It get's to 500Mb in less than 24 hours. The line number at the end varies.

Any help appreciated.

Recently upgraded www.suffolkbasketball.net to Joomla! 2.5 running K2
Everything has been fine until today when I try to access the site I get:

Fatal error: Call to a member function load() on a non-object in /home/suffolk/public_html/components/com_k2/views/itemlist/view.html.php on line 40

line 40 loads the category id ( $category->load($id); )

When I try to access the site's backend admin area I get a 404 page not found error. My host tells me PHP is working normally, I can access files via FTP & cPanel.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hello to you. I have a problem locating php.ini to make the changes... It should be on: Configuration File (php.ini) Path /usr/lib
But I can't find something like this. Can you help me please
[When I try to create a new item (article) in k2, the error message you reffer is appearing. This happened whith no reason yesterday..)

Did you displayed the K2 Smart Search plugin? It should work. Did you try to save it's parameters? Also you didn't respond if it's a new installation or an update from a previous Joomla! version.

Hello,

I've installed the latest version of K2 (downloaded today) on Joomla 2.5.6.

The installation went fine but when I came to add a new item vis the Item section of K2 I got the following error:

Fatal error: Class 'FinderIndexerResult' not found in /web/www/joombackup/joomla/libraries/joomla/utilities/arrayhelper.php on line 105

No sure what I've done wrong.

Any help would be great.

I found a solution.
Line 478 in administrator/components/com_k2/lib/JSON.php, $str variable has to be a string. To avoid the error I've add a very bad hack to be sure to convert the variable to string :

Hi,
Anytime i try to create a new category in k2 or import from the content component to K2 i get this error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_regex_encoding() in /home/******/public_html/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 93

I searched the forum for related problems and i saw something about MbString. It is enabled on the server
Please what can i do about this.

Hye,

I removed the category to the Joomla administration> select> delete.
But it may be another transaction that was a problem, I cannot say with certainty.

I've try to edit each element but the bug is still there.

Nobody get the same problem ?

ps : if you try a google search like : 'warning components/com_k2/models/item.php on line 1110' you will find many websites. Weird.

Hi. Are you still getting this error? Try to edit and save again the item that is having the issue. Also how did you removed the extra fields? Did you use the K2 administration or you just removed it manually from the database?

After manipulation on K2 categories (option changes) and the elimination of a group of additional fields, the site is completely out with error messages:
Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in / xxxxxx/components/com_k2/models/item.php on line 1110
Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass Could not be converted to string in / xxxxxxxx/administrator/components/com_k2/lib/JSON.php on line 478

I did an update of K2 but instead of fixing the problem, it has created a new one in the administration. Component appears only on the home page but not in the administration menu components while remaining functional.

An idea about the problem?

K2: 2.5.7
Joomla 2.5.6

There are no fatal errors.
Turn it back off

Have you installed something just prior to this happening or did it ever work properly
If it did - look for why
if it never worked properly
Back up your site
reinstall k2

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() is most likely the problem
Check the information tab on K2 and if mbstring is not enabled, get your host to turn it on as it is required
