Add indyvidual ordering and resizing images on upload. was created by Sitte.pl Bartosz Machnik
Hello. I'm using Simple image gallery pro, it's great but two things that are misssing are:
  • to be able to set custom ordering for each image in each gallery or at least give ability to set ordering for indyvidual gallery and to change names of files (this should be easier)
  • to set to generate full image size on upload, sometimes people upload 8-12MB files

Hi,

Regarding your questions:

1. You can only set ordering to alphabetical in the settings page and then use the media manager to rename the files properly.

2. Simple Image Gallery PRO does not generate full images on upload but it has an option named " Force resize source (popup) image width (in pixels)" . Have you tried this?

Thank You for Your reply.

Could You consider develop such function? Every image has "title" and "description" fields so the engine for setting an order is there, You just have to add one field. And putting list in order on display should be rather easy. Just consider this.

hmm wird, I have resize popup on, but the images are not smaller.
In de overview album is still see 2000pixels width after that upload.
Does it save the old image? So you only see it work at popup?

@Coco Nuts Productions

Simple Image Gallery PRO does not affect the uploaded images. It just creates the thumbnails. If you want to serve smaller images than those uploaded there is an option named "Force resize source (popup) image width (in pixels)" .

If anyone is still interested in this, I've solved this problem for SIGPro 3.7 and added custom ordering.

Video of it in action -> www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGgS8cUtW8k

Modified files, aswell as the original ones are in the zipped attachment.

Maybe the dev team can look this up and incorporate in the next version ?

P.S. You still have to go and save all your existing galleries in order for Custom ordering work

P.P.S. plz use SIG_Pro_Ordering_Update_3.7.0_v2.zip from the attachments

Thank you for your contribution.

Custom ordering will be available with SIGPro v4 which is currently in the works, however it's been implemented differently as part of a general change in how captions are stored.
