Hi I am new to Joomla

I installed SIG and enabled it already, when I text the tag {gallery}folder{/gallery} in my article, it will make the page fail to display.
But if I type a wrong path within the tag, it will show the error message with my site saying the path is incorrect.

So can anyone help and suggest what is the problem with site?

I am using SIG v3, Joomla! 2.5 on a free hosting.

Just try to upload some images (via Joomla back-end) to a new folder (also created via joomla back-end) and it works!

my original folder is created from FTPZilla and images were upload by FTP also.
So why folders and images created from FTP cannot be found?

Is it I can only upload images via Joomla backend please?
