[Solved] Alt text displayed on thumbnails was created by LukeDouglas
I did an updated on SIG to 3.0 and I am getting the 'alt' text on top of my thumbnails. Here is the gallery.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Actually, I clicked on that link and it did open the page.  It is in the 'Gallery' tab.  But now the text is gone.  However, now I see no navigation (Previous / Next) buttons yet the navigation does work. Strange.  So I used Firebug to check for the 'close' button. It couldn't find the image "url("/plugins/content/jw_sig/jw_sig/includes/js/jquery_fancybox/fancybox/")".  As there was no 'actual' imagefile indicated, just a folder.  I checked and there is a sprite image "fancybox_sprite.png" in that folder so I assumed it must be something to do with JS.  It was set on JS v1.8 so I changed it to v1.9. No luck. Changed to other lower versions. No luck.  Reinstalled SIG v.3.0.  No luck.  I clear the Joomla cache and browser's cache (Firefox, Chrome and IE 10) after each change.  No luck.

At this point, the only thing I can think of is some type of Javascript conflict.  So I change the option in the plug-in to not load Javascript.  Naturally, the image links opened in a new browser window with no popup.  I saw there was an update to the Gantry Framework and template so I installed that update.  No difference.

So I uninstalled SIG 3.0, installed SIG 2.2 and it worked fine.  I have uninstalled SIG 2.2 and reinstalled 3.0 so anyone can look to see if they can determine why this is happening.

This is not happening on other sites from what I can see so it has me totally confused.

This must be a conflict with another script in your site.
Check if it comes from Mediabox system plugin you use.
