First, thank you for a great product. Good stuff.

Second, I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction to understand a problem I'm encountering.

I'm trying to install SIG and am encountering an error while attempting to upload and install SIG from the joomla extension manager. After I click "upload and install" I see:

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://*@#$%.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=installer&task=extract&20d276123229f5123a02d65c3a90075a=1. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

I recently installed SIG on another site and everything went flawlessly and quick. The only thing that I know that is different on this site is that I have installed Mossetts Tree. (not trying to use SIG with Mossetts Tree or K2, just wanting to use it with Joomla)

I searched the forums here for the same problem and was unable to find it. I hope I'm not asking something that is asked over and over somewhere and I just missed it.

I'm still stuck on this. i'd really like to use SIG on this site. SIG rocks, when I'm able to install it. (Which is every other time I've needed to.) Anyway, I'm not complaining, i'm just jonesing for a taste of that simple, sleek photo gallery interface goodness.

I figured it out.

I was not using PHP 5.3

Now I am, and it installed just fine.
