There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: images/voyages

I don't want to change to a new plugin, this one made us so happy it was PERFECT... any ideas?

It seems that you are facing some permission issues.
Check if folder cache and cache/jw_sig is writable.

great! that worked, so do I have to keep it on 777 or can I bring the folder back 755?
Also the cached images, are 644, do I leave that there or change that too?

The correct permissions for folders are 755 and for files 644.

If you continue having issues when the above permissions have applied then your issue is wrong owner permissions. This means that if your server's "owner" permissions for files are not properly setup, in other words, if Joomla cannot perform read/write operations via PHP, then it will not work properly. You will have to contact your hosting company and ask them to fix any "owner" related permission issues.
