Hi,
I just installed the plugin and activated it. I created an article (or module). As described, I inserted {gallery} folder_name {/gallery} in the source code of the article. Nothing happens. I just see the code on the page. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Alina

If it's added in a module (most probably), e.g. the Custom HTML module, you need to enable plugin parsing there. In the Custom HTML module specifically, make sure the "Content prepare" option (under the "Advanced" tab) is enabled.

If it's another module, it may have a similar option like the above.

I'm completely lost. I did turn on the "Content prepare" option. I go to my module; I go to the source (< >) and I insert {gallery} images/subfolder/my_folder {/gallery}. Is there something else I need to do?

Don't use spaces for starters:
{gallery}images/subfolder/my_folder{/gallery}

Then kindly read the documentation page, it's important: www.joomlaworks.net/support/docs/simple-image-gallery
