I've began to work on a plugin with a new upload solution... The upload is ok but now, the hardest part is to integrate all that correctly with K2, add nice features like drag & drop for ordering, renaming, description, ...
Will make a feedback asap with a beta version.
Sorry for this too long delay...

great to hear from you regarding this!
Do you modify the standard K2 submission form (adding fancyuploader/ plupload) or will you use a separate form-component as a replacement for the standard-form?
Thanks!

It would be good to have the same but better features as Phoca Gallery as well as options for photo bridges/channels like this extension: www.joomlademo.dionesoft.com/dionegallerywizard. The K2 video tab already has options for other channels so why shouldn't they do the same for photos (would be soooo good if they could add Facebook gallery integration).

yes it´s a nice hint to allow embedding more image and video services as flickr and so on!
I think the next big K2-thing could be a much better submission-form with much better image handling options - like the gallery-components already deliver.
Let´s start with something we can handle e.g. a simple bulk-image uploader. That would be a great step in terms of useability. Let´s take a look at simgallery´s album creation feature. It´s like the well-known Facebook albums and every user knows how to use that.
@ Olivier: How is your workflow to deal with this?
At the moment i would be very lucky to have a better frontend-form for the users to submit their k2-items!
Thanks!
Zazel Baltao said:I am also very interested and would definitely pay for an extension like this. There are many posts in the forum asking for these features so I am sure quite a few people would buy it. I have used Phoca Gallery but some of the ways it works are not very user friendly, also if we could use K2 there would be so many more display options for the category view, also to integrate with content/videos etc. It would be good to have the same but better features as Phoca Gallery as well as options for photo bridges/channels like this extension: www.joomlademo.dionesoft.com/dionegallerywizard. The new image upload will be part of another K2 extension that will be detailed in a blog post for the end of the week.
Still some work to do on it but all should be available for christmas !

I downloaded sherpa but I see no plugin for an image uploader. Did I downloaded the wrong extension or am I doing something wrong?

Is it an existing (or upcoming) feature in Sherpa or am I mistaking?

I bought Sherpa because I have a good use for the picture upload function, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I don't see a plugin that I can use for the front-end picture upload.
Or is the upload function in another extension?
Please respond.

The new upload & gallery management will be in the next version.
Sorry for the delay, but as it will work for categories, items & users, there's still some things to test & bugs to fix.
I'll upgrade your subscription on Jiliko.net to avoid expiration problems.

Thanks for the respond.
Do you have an estimation when it will be done? Where will you post it when it's done?
Thanks for upgrading the subscription.

I checked your site jiliko.net and I saw that there is a new update for Sherpa, but I couldn't download it because my subscriptions has expired.
Does this update contains the image upload function?
