k2 issue in 3.8.2

Category: English K2 Community

Hello Nathan,

This indicates a server related error.
Check your error_log or ask your hosting provider to locate any PHP fatal errors.
If you can access your site's global configuration, you need to enable error reporting in order to see the actual error.

Seems the stock module files are deleted. Simply install K2 on top of your existing installation to re-instate the missing files.

[SOLVED] Fatal error in line 74 of mod_k2_content

Category: English K2 Community

In my Joomla 3.8 installation that uses a third-party responsive template ("JD Construction"), when changing away from that template and selecting another one (e.g. one of those that come with Joomla by default, or any other third party template), I get on frontend:

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/homepages/12/d412842748/htdocs/MobileBECMS/modules/mod_k2_content/tmpl/default.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5.6') in /homepages/12/d412842748/htdocs/MobileBECMS/modules/mod_k2_content/mod_k2_content.php on line 74

I looked up what is line 74. Here it is:
<img src="<?php echo $item->image; ?>" alt="<?php echo K2HelperUtilities::cleanHtml($item->title); ?>" />

I cannot see from this what could be wrong. Something with an image missing? But could a missing image cause a "fatal error"?

Any advice what to do?

(K2 version is 2.8.0)

Thanks!

I have done a search on google and a search on this site.:

This only happens if you have the system plugin disabled.
Enable the plugin and K2 will work properly.

www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/3003742/a0ae2f13dc235b2d2bfaead0575da785

For me, very simple solution: changed CHmod on components/com_k2/helpers/permissions.php (was 604 -> causes fatal error)

I disabled the cache, and did a double reinstall of the component and plugins, but no result.

No Fatal Errors then.
I think you need to address this issue to the extension's dev.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method K2HelperHTML::loadjQue

Category: English K2 Community

Hello:
I am getting an error in every module of my Joomla site.
When I go to edit any of the modules, I can see the information but it is all unformatted and at the bottom of the page I get this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method K2HelperHTML::loadjQuery() in /home1/baklight/public_html/2/administrator/components/com_k2/elements/items.php on line 29

Also, I am having issues with JV component, that I am sure that has something to do with this error.

I located the line but I don´t know what to do to fix this.

Can you help me?

I am not able to edit any of the modules because of this.

Thank you.
