Hello everyboday,

when I try to access the Items-menu in the K2 Dashboard I get this error:

Fatal error: Class 'K2Controlleritems' not found in /home/sccorg/public_html/beta/administrator/components/com_k2/admin.k2.php on line 88

I can access all other K2 menus besides "Items", "Add new Item", "Featured Items" and "Trashed Items".

In the frontend the items are displayed correctly.

Can somebody please help me with this issue?

com_virtuemart.2.0.14
K2_v2.6.1
K2mart_v2.0.2

My website is based on Joomla 2.5.8, K2 2.5.7, K2mart 2.0.2, SimpleImageGallery Pro but after update of Virtuemart from 2.0.12f to 2.0.14 it returns error when I try to access items in backend. I will try to step back to older version for now.

I'm also experiencing the same problem. Save / Edit items in front end containing Extra Fields fails with Fatal Error.

Hi there. I'm getting "Fatal error: Call to a member function getSearchValue() on a non-object in .../administrator/components/com_k2/models/item.php on line 721" when trying to add a new article in front-end.
I've found similar topics about that but none of them with a secure solution. Could you please help me about that? I'm using the latest version of K2.

Thanks for your help. i found the error and I solved it... Following this:
"Issue occurs in both front-end and administrator for items with attachments. Error produced = "Call to undefined method getHash()".

Solution current code base calls JUtility::getHash(); which was changed to JApplication::getHash in the recent update to the Joomla Framework in Joomla 3.0.1

call to getHash() exists in the following locations. In my test fix, I just changed the call, however at version test should be performed as Joomla 2.5 still uses the JUtility;;getHash() call.

Front End Line 1333 of /components/com_k2/models/item.php

Administrator Lines 937 and 997 of /administrator/components/com_k2/models/item.php

You can make this adjustment yourself for now, I've also just posted this bug on Issues page."

i have the same error saving/modifing an item by forntend k2 panel.
Using Joomla 2.5.7 & K2.6.1.

Is possible to do a downgrade to k2 2.5.7? (2.5.7 hasn't this problem)

Goto the K2 dashboard and check the information link. mb_string should be enabled. If not, get your host to enable it

than you can change a line and get back to the backend

to

and alter this line back to

I am getting the following error when trying to attach a file either from local or server to an item in K2:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method JUtility::getHash() in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla301\administrator\components\com_k2\models\item.php on line 997

There is no issue if I do not attach a file to the item. Everything else woks perfectly.

Please help!
