Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /home2/viewme/public_html/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 46

Category: English K2 Community

I also had to recompile my apache using EasyApache to include the mb_string option. I would guess that the people running into this option are on dedicated servers or something like that, most good hosts will already have this compiled into PHP. But thanks for the heads up Toryalai, it was actually pretty easy once I found EasyApache.

K2 Integrate Jomsocial (K2 Plugin)

Category: English K2 Community

Hello! When I have K2 Integrate with JomSocial plug in activated I get this message when I in back end want to edit an article:

Fatal error: require() [function.require]...

Category: English K2 Community

I get the following error message:Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/siteName/modules/mod_k2_content/tmpl/no_plugin/default.php' (include_path='.:/Applications/xampp/xamppfiles/lib/php') in '/siteName/modules/mod_k2_content/mod_k2_content.php on line 35Sure, the folder "no-plugin" (as stated in the error message) does not exist, but why that/what's the problem? (a "default.php" exists in /tmpl/Default/ )"Information" section in K2 backend confirms all listed directories writable, ALL modules and plugins (!!) are installed and enabled.Joomla 1.5.22, K2 V2.3Thanks for advising!

I tried this fix and it seems like my server is really super slow now.

How can i reverse it?

Also, i had this all working perfect right before a server move THEN i got this error when accessing K2.

Any particular reason going from 1 server 2 another (neither having had mb_internal_encoding in the first place) would cause this error to appear?

Hi
Thanks for reply. But I still can't solve the problem of time limits.
I still get:
Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in ....../administrator/components/com_k2/lib/class.upload.php on line 4497
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /......../libraries/joomla/session/storage/database.php on line 82

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /......./libraries/joomla/session/storage/database.php on line 51

In line 4497 I have something like this: } else if ($pixel > 0) {
What else should I do?

If anyone has an idea how to fix it?

Martin Christiansen said:Oh yea.. I see it was left out in my previous comment :) Right after the first line with the PHP tag, I added a new line with this code: ini_set("max_execution_time", 360);
So basically my first 4 lines look like below. Hope this helps... (remember to add the question mark in the PHP tag in the first line
< php
ini_set("max_execution_time", 360);

Hi Banditozz,

Looks like you don't have an author linked to your item.

You can check that in backend by editing the item.

It can also be a k2 plugin that deletes this information.

Willing to pay for proper K2 setup

Category: English K2 Community

I will be building two community multi-blogger sites and since K2 was recommended, I decided to give it a try. I installed version 2.4.1 and got no errors on installation. However when I try to create a category, I get the following errorFatal error: Call to undefined function mb_regex_encoding() in /home/sportsam/public_html/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php
on line 50I also created a user, and when I logged in, the front page won't load. I manage three Joomla eCommerce sites (using Virtuemart) and two Joomla community sites (Jomsocial and Myblog) so I am familiar with the CMS and many of the components. Obviously K2 is new to me and appears to be a great tool. I need to get the first site up and running by this weekend, and since I'm not a techie I am willing to pay someone to resolve the issues. I am using a Rockettheme template.I would appreciate it if someone would help with this!

I had the v2.2 and I upgrade it to v.2.4.1 without follow the instructions that you describe on the community.getk2.org/notes/index/show?noteKey=Upgrading_from_K2_v2.0_%22prerelease%22_to_v2.0_build_20090806_%22stable%22I just install the new version as a new component installation.After this I found many errors on the plugins/k2/k2jomcomments.php on line 66One bug that I found is that the link of tags has this error page"

JomComment Plugin to replace K2 Comments

Hy Markus,

I found two bugs. The first (community.getk2.org/forum/topics/modk2filter-to-k2-v241) is on the following file plugins/k2/jomcomment.php on line 52
The following error (Fatal error: Call to undefined function jcCountComment() in /home/XXX/public_html/plugins/k2/jomcomment.php on line 52) is displaying when I search through the mod_k2_filter. If I use only the jomcomment the comment system works fine. The second one is this community.getk2.org/forum/topics/jomcomment-bug-with-expired

I gave this a try and it throws an error.

Fatal error: Cannot access empty property

do you have any suggestions?

Yiota Ziaggou said:Try this.
Open the latest_item.php in templates/your template/html/com_k2/default/, go to the part where you want the extra fields to appear and put this:

$this->item->extra_fields = K2ModelItem::getItemExtraFields($this->item->extra_fields);

under that copy the extra fields block through the category_item.php, without the if($this->item->params->get('catItemExtraFields') part to the first if. Leave only the count part.

Little conflict with Joomla Showroom's Registration Pro Component

Category: English K2 Community

Hi there...If I leave the breadcrumbs on (that's the idea) I get this message in the browser... "Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Calendar in /home/mbsinc/public_html/current/modules/mod_k2_tools/includes/calendarClass.php on line 33" ...whenever I try to call RegPro component in the frontend.I found that in calendarClass.php, you have a class called "Calendar", and it seems to me that Joomla Showroom is using the same class name for their component, so it cannot be redeclared. All I did is to check if the class already exists before declaring it ( if(!class_exists('Calendar')) { ) ... Now, if  you are using exactly the same class as, I guess I'm OK, but otherwise someone needs to change the name of his class to avoid conflicts...ThanksClaudio

Fatal error on Import Joomla Content - memory allocation

Category: English K2 Community

Now I can't even get to Article Manager in Joomla :-( Fatal error indeed.

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 103284736) (tried to allocate 46 bytes) in /home/globalpr/public_html/k2gpm/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 462

William White said:Try on a test environment, but i am pretty sure that k2 import buttion "will" create a copy of the items in k2 if you click it twice. I think that the import joomla was a means to get k2 up and running quickley and not to routinely import items...unless you import once, delete all joomla content, add joomla articles, import into k2, delete them now so as not to duplicate on next import.
