i am using Joomla 2.5.8, and K2 with 2.6.2
And K2 works just fine few days ago but suddenly it just can't add any new items,
when i want to add a new item on back end, and i click new or edit old items, it got blank pages and i can't do anything... but i can edit other tabs like categoray, tags, comments...etc

and i opened the error report after i click new item it shows "Fatal error: Call to a member function getAttribute() on a non-object in /home3/incgsolu/public_html/gem/administrator/components/com_k2/elements/items.php on line 34"

i've googled but still can't find any solutions, is there any help?
i've also attach my Plug-in Manager screenshot and fatal error screenshot.

When you look at k2.php (the system plugin) you can see that the K2 devs are using

JRequest::getCmd()

which is deprecated.

They should use

JFactory::getApplication()->input->get() instead.

Workaround: Just select template name with checkbox and click on Edit button. That will do the same as if you clicked on template name ...

Perhaps "one day" the K2 guys will change that (and stop blaming Gantry) ...

I guess you could also just "search & replace"
JRequest::getCmd with Factory::getApplication()->input->get
in the k2.php ... but I haven't tested that.

I have the same problem. Joomla 3.0.2. K2 2.6.2, Rocket Theme Cerulean template 1.0, Gantry 4.1.4

If I unpublish the System - K2 plugin I can then access the template from the backend.

So i let enable mbstrings and try again.

i want to call k2 extra field to one of k2 module to show that. about this work ther are 1 code one of that is k2 defult code & working right just in k2 component & do not work in my module:

Just reporting back, I received an updated "K2 Multi Images Plugin" from Andrey (JoomCar) and it solved my issue. Hope this is helpful to someone.

That is a "warning" not a fatal error, it should not remove anything.
Turn error reporting to none in Joomla Global Settings Server Tab and the warning should go away.

What have you changed, added, or updated on your site just before the items went away?

The component was configured and assigned to menu item but page loads with the following error message:

Hi,
I had a problem as i was trying to create a k2_content override.

I followed the instructions at
getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/item/77-k2-template-override-package-comparison
I want to have more that one k2_content override so inside my mytempate/html/mod_k2_content folder i copied and pasted twice the default folder and i gave defferent names.
Then i set some of my k2_content modules to use the sub-templates i created.
That's all i did, i didnt change anything at the php files yet.

When i work locally, i m able to see the sub-templates and assign them to some of my modules, with no problem.

But when i put the site online i get this error

PS. If i set my online site's modules to use the default sub-template, the site works normally.

Goto the k2 dashboard, check the information tab.
You will likely find that mb_string is not enabled on your server.
Contact your host and have them turn it on
