J1.7 Admin Component "404 - An error has occurred. Component Not Found"

I, too, have this error message (404 - An error has occurred. Component not found) when attempting to access the Admin component (if, indeed, such a thing exists and if it is accessible). I have disabled the plugin marked "Content" and lose Disqus. I have disabled the plugin marked "System" and keep Disqus, but the label on articles changes from "0 Comments" to "Add a Comment."

I have read the article quoted below, as is apparently recommended, but do not see how it relates to the problem discussed in this thread.

I am also at a loss to see where I can "moderate" the discussions.

I have searched, and this is the only post on this topic I found.

This installation of Disqus is a new addition, and is on an upgrade (to Joomla 1.7) area of a Joomla site.

Thank you for any advise you can provide.

I have same problem J1.7 Admin Component "404 - An error has occurred. Component Not Found"
Comments are losading in frontend but does not load. You can check on my site www.kopaonikonline.com on any article.
What do I need to do to make comments work?
