item date keeps changing upon saving was created by htanabe
Every time I click "Save" on a K2 item, both creation and published dates go one day back. For example, I open an item whose dates are "2014-07-22", and when I click save, they become "2014-07-21". That goes on. More I edit and save, the date goes back one by one.

Timezone for Joomla, the users, .htaccess, and php.ini are all set to New York.

Everything is up to date, including Joomla and K2.

I searched this forum for the solution, but none of what I found helps.

Thank you in advance.

Which version of Joomla! and K2 are you using?
You might need to install the DEV version.

Like I said, everything is up to date.
Joomla 3.3.1 stable
K2 2.6.8 2/18/2014 release

I just installed K2 DEV edition. 2.7.0 - June 16th release.

The problem remains.

I updated Joomla to the latest version and tried with K2 DEV again this morning, but no luck. Everytime I save an article, the dates of the article created and modified, goes back one day.

I also tried changing the timezone of the server to Denver since the server is physically located in Provo, UT, which is also in the same timezone with Denver. No luck. I changed it back to New York.

Tried "Discover" and fix DB, etc, but none of them fixed the issue.

I'd appreciated any help.

@htanabe

What's your current setup ? Joomla!/K2/PHP version? Any other extensions/plugins?

Joomla 3.3.6
K2 2.6.8 2/18/2014 release (also tried DEV that I downloaded this morning)
PHP 5.4

I also have an extension called "FW Real Estate". I disabled it, but the problem still remains.

Do you use a language other than English in the administration?

I am talking about the administration language. Try to set it to English temporarily and see if the issue occurs .

Are you sure that you are using the development version ? Did you get a success message once you installed it ? You can check the code in the file /administrator/components/com_k2/views/item/view.html.php . Compare those lines github.com/joomlaworks/k2/blob/master/administrator/components/com_k2/views/item/view.html.php#L124-L169 .

Yes, I downloaded the DEV again today and installed it. Success.
I compared those lines on view.html.php and my file looks ok.
Just in case, I copied the default template from the com_k2 folder.

The problem still occurs.

Hello,
Does the issue also occur with the default com_content articles?

No. That's the first thing I tested. That's why I figured it was probably a K2 issue (thus posting here).

Is there a chance that you have also overrides for the admin item form ? You need to look to the folder /administrator/templates/isis/html/com_k2 . Note that this assumes that you are using the default Joomla! administration template. If you are using a different one let me know.

The admin template is default (isis), and I haven't made any change to it.
However, I don't see com_k2. Actually, I don't see any folder starting with "com_" under isis/html.
Strange enough, I see a lot of them under hathor/html but not com_k2. (I'm not using hathor anyway).

Problem occurs in the admin control panel as well as the frontend. Started several months ago (meaning it used to work fine).

Go to the plugins manager and get a list of the content, k2 and system plugins. If there is a plugin that is not part of the CMS or K2 try to disable it for a while.

Is it possible to have FTP access and a Super User account.
Do not post them here. Please use the contact form and let us know when you 've sent them. getk2.org/contact-us
