Import articles error - returns blank page

Category: English K2 Community

Hi - Found out that this error is behind it :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /var/www/web3/web/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 46

- and that it has been solved by enabling mbstring lines in the php.ini.

Kind regards,

category saved but not in the listing

Category: English K2 Community

Hi, first : sorry for my english.
I'm a new-one in Joomla! and I've just installed K2.
I begin with issue yesterday, when I tried to create a category : fatal error mbstring encoding... our serveur didn't have mbstring library and some error of dependancy on linux server on yum install appears... But with php 5.3.0, it's ok now. I have the last joomla! version 1.5.14 and mySQL 5.1.32.

My problem is when I add a category, in a very simple way, K2 report s"Categroy is saved" but it doesn't appeared in the list under the confirmation message.
I check the dataBase, the new category is in the table k2_categories !
Do you have an idea to help me guys ?

Vadim,

Thanks for your work on this but I only get the plugin working with legacy mode turned on...when turned off I get following errors:

1. Preview newsletter: Page with only text and error (see attachment aca_preview.jpg)
2. Edit a newsletter: blank page with Fatal error: Call to a member function setQuery() on a non-object in /home/usr1/ccinv/public_html/plugins/acajoom/acajoombot_k2.php on line 234

With legacy on everything works just fine....
Thanks allready for making this work with legacy on....at least I can use the plugin but I prefer a native version...

Greetz
Vadim Kaltygin said:I make the NATIVE version of this plugin for joomla 1.5.x. Now you may turn back to OFF the System Legacy plugin. Don't forget: you must disable the standart Acajoom Content Bot plugin!

My joomla 1.5.x NATIVE plugin version name is: acajoombot_k2_v2.j1.5.x

Tested on: joomla 1.5.14 + K2 v2.1 + Acajoom News 4.5.1 Pro. Work is fine!

Enjoy!

error when using the plugin SEO Simple

Category: English K2 Community

Thanks Mircea. I'm actually working with SEO generator, which I believe is having similar problem as SEO simple.

I tried adding your text, but did not work. There is currently, in the SEO Generator PHP file the following in the same place where you specified:

jimport('joomla.event.plugin');

I added your text, removed the above, tried with both jimport lines, and all combinations, but did not work. There is also the following in my PHP file:

// only mod site pages that are html docs (no admin, install, etc.)
if (!$mainframe->isSite()) return ;
if ($docType != 'html') return ;

I'm not sure if this is possibly the issue or related as well, but I'm getting the following error when I access K2 items in the administrator:

Fatal error: Class 'JSite' not found in /home/detroitr/public_html/organicproductmall/plugins/system/SEOGenerator.php on line 214

Thanks for your help--any other suggestions or thought? Jeff

Mircea said:Hello Try to add

Hi. JSite is a core Joomla! class and it is loaded by Joomla! in frontend. Plugins using this class have to check that they are triggered on the front end. For more info read this. It is a bug of the plugin, not K2.

Seth Mak said:I got the same problem. I got the error message: "Fatal error: Class 'JSite' not found in /home/bizaweb/biza_enterprise/plugins/system/SEOGenerator.php on line 224".
I guess the Class JSite is not defined in K2.

Multibyte strings is enabled - still fatal error

Category: English K2 Community

I just upgraded to 2.1 and get this error when saving an item:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_regex_encoding() in /mnt/web4/53/33/51645033/htdocs/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2item.php on line 72

My hosting provider says I can write a php.ini file and try to enable the mb_strings. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks so much again!

Multibyte strings is enabled - still fatal error

Category: English K2 Community

Hello!

After upgrading from 2.0 prerelease to 2.0 stable, i get this error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_ereg_replace() in /mnt/web4/53/33/51645033/htdocs/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 49

I searched the forum, and the solution seems to be to enable the MBstring, however, when I look at my PHP settings in Joomla, Multibyte string support is enabled.
What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

error when using the plugin SEO Simple

Category: English K2 Community

Hey!

Today I installed K2. I have set up a category and wanted to add an articel. But I get always this error message:

Fatal error: Class ‘JSite’ not found in /var/www/virtual/mywebsite.de/htdocs/plugins/system/SEOSimple.php on line 153

It looks like K2 clashes with the Plugin SEO Simple (www.daobydesign.com/blog/seosimple-joomla-15-plugin/) which I am using already for some month now.

Has anybody an idea what went wrong?
Thx.
