Very nice!, expect you created category for each state.
Which template and menu are you using?
I wonder how one would link the state map to the indivual categories.....

New website upgraded to k2

Category: English K2 Community

After using alphacontent to manage my website for a couple of years, I finally took the time and switched over to K2. Took about a day to set up and transfer everything over, and so far everything is working great. Thank K2! :)

Since that is the same text as the title...maby there is an option in the menu choice to hide title
If you are going to edit category.php, please read the documentation about overrides. If you change the core k2 files y ou will loose your changes on upgrade

Front end Articles not being saved

Category: English K2 Community

I'm Using J 1.5.26, PHP 5.3.8, K2.5.5

I recently upgraded from K2.4.1 to K2.5.5

When a user is logged in the front end and tries to add a new article, the can do just about everything except save the article or close the pop up screen down.

I have tried this with different demo user, with different K2 User Group permissions (With edit items, add items, etc all set to yes)
Also tried with different browser and with Mac/Pc, but just doesn't work.

Adding articles in back end works fine.

Any ideas suggestions for me ?

Can't upload images after upgrade

Category: Simple Image Gallery PRO

I upgraded but now I can now longer upload a zip file. It just times out and corrupts the K2 item to the point that it must be deleted.

When I try to use the Flickr option I get "There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder:"

Please help ASAP

First of all I thank you for your time William, I just upgraded to joomla 2.5.4 and reinstalled k2 2.5.5 with success but now I´m getting this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_regex_encoding() in /home/lapirino/public_html/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 93

I included a snapshot of k2 information page, according to it, everything is ok.

Joomla 1.5.23 and K2 2.5.5

Category: Comunità italiana K2

Salve amici

grazie mille

english

i'm using K2 2.2 and all is ok, ;)

yesterday i've tryed tu upgrade to 2.5.5 but some problems occoured, i would to know if the 2.5 release is effectively compatible with 1.5.x.

I cannot reproduce now the problem becouse the upgrade would make the site unusable that is now in production

I will eventually copy locally the site for to show you the error

many thanks!

Image Gallery and K2 Comments section layout

Category: English K2 Community

Hi,

Since I upgraded to a more recent version of K2 and Simple Image Gallery Pro, the image gallery on my K2 item pages and the comments section on these pages are not separated properly, there seems to be a problem with the layout.

I'm using a Rockettheme template (Omnicron) on Joomla 1.5x, have K2 2.5.4 and the Simple Image Gallery Pro 2.5.7 installed.

You can see a sample here - www.jal.co.nz/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&layout=item&id=163&lang=en

You'll see what I mean when you scroll down to the image gallery.

Any idea why this happens and how I can fix it?

Thanks muchly for your help!

I agree with Ranshell Rasco about jcomments

This is a topic I posted on joomla forum, strange no replies  , is there a Must not step on toes attitude here.

Just been checking out jcomments moans and groans in the forums as you do!. Am very interested in dowloading this component.
The main theme running through this component provider is the lack of updates, now, I am new to Joomla but even I can see despite this apparently being a wonder peice of kit it definately seems to cause problems when Joomla upgrades are available.
Any observations from the joomla community whether or not this is a distinct liability, seemingly having your component crash or unable to upgrade joomla in case this causes the component to crash. Would you NOT use this because of the lack of upgrades or is it so good you must have regardless.
Also the theme just now is the Donation situation regarding ability to donate, as i am new to joomla is this normal for devs to ask in the forums for donations

K2 Menu Item issue in 2.5 upgrade from 1.5.23

Category: English K2 Community

Hi, all :-)
I had the same issue but now warnings...
Was trying to figure this out for couple of days now..... So here goes my fix, just in case someone else would get stuck on this B)
Today, I finally found the problem (VERY stupid on my part LOL). All it was - my categories and items in those categories didn't have access level chosen. At all.... Thank you William, after looking into my DB tables for K2, I noticed, that those items did not have access level in there.... , so I went back to my K2 admin and when I checked - sure enough LOL
So I highlighted "Public" - and vuala! :)

Superusers cannot post Comments in K2 Articles was created by Ranshell Rasco

Superusers cannot post Comments in K2 Articles

Category: English K2 Community

When a user is logged in as Superuser, the K2 Comments form is not visible. I checked the backend setting and found out that the only parameters available are to enable Comments to Everyone or Registered users. So Superusers are denied completely. Seems like this logic does not make sense.

Will K2 Comments be upgraded in the future to allow Superusers to post comments also? How can you hack the core files so that the comment form will also show up for Superusers?

K2 Upgrade Problems J1.5 2.5.3 and K2 2.5.5

Category: English K2 Community

If you do not use the K2 Smart Search you can safely disable it to fix the problem.

joomla admin > Extensions > Plugin Manager > Disable "Smart Search - K2" plugin.
Displaying 1401 - 1420 out of 2231 results.
