Hello,

Our webmaster recently began to upgrade our website's template to a newer version in hopes of resolving invalid token errors. After they did this, images on our website only began showing up as alt text and certain links to product pages started returning 404 errors (the reason being that the address of the link began duplicating a the "Product" path within the URL.)

Can anybody shed some light on it for me? Is it a K2 or Joomla issue? Any reassurance that our site isn't damaged irreparably and we won't have to rebuild it from scrap would be appreciated!

I've just upgraded from Joomla 1.5.23 to 1.5.25 and K2 from 2.4 to 2.5 and I'm having the same problem

Have been using K2 for a while on my 1.5 joomla installation. Now I have switched to 1.7. Have upgraded my joomla database and that worked correctly so far as I know.
Then the K2 database tables I changed the jos_ to my new database prefix.
The items are displayed at the backend.
When I want to show the items at the frontend of the website and I try to JXTC k2 wall module the items do show up, but when clicking at them I get a 404 error.

Any advice is welcome!

Hi, any dev know why this would be? It seems this "<div id="k2QuickIconsTitle">" has some dodgy css that makes a div that covers all the admin icons above it.

I upgraded the version of K2 on my Joomal 1.5 site recently to v2.5.0. And since performing that upgrade the icons for the Joomal control panel (above the K2 section) have become "unclickable".

Has anyone else experienced this and know a fix?

That is why we use template overrides, so that when we perform an upgrade our overrides will not be over written. We have ample of time to compare the new version and our overrides and make the necessary changes. :)

We have just released a minor update (v3.1) of DISQUS Comments for Joomla!.

It seems to be something to do with Category creation within the K2 component that results in any category other than the first category created to be omitted and therefore the path isn't found by Joomla when creating menu items or module links such as Gavick News Pro.

No idea how to fix this as the upgrade to 2.5.1 didn't fix it.

I just upgraded to the latest k2 version and now the "Read more" link in the k2 content module is not showing up. It's indicated to show in the Item view options. It was there before the upgrade.

I would first backup the entire 1.5 site and then install k2 2.5
next run jupgrade to get the site to 1.7
You may need to reinstall k2 2.5 on the 1.7 site along with other modules and components

Ok i figure this one, i don't understand why i seem to be the only person with this problem, but just in case someone else comes here, this is what i did.
After the upgrade all categories and items need to be set to access public. i couldn't figure out how to batch edit all my items so i did it on the database.

UPDATE j17_k2_items SET access = '1' WHERE access = '0'

JCE editor doesn't work in front-end for any user when trying ti add and article. However it works in back-end without problems. It happened when i upgrade to K2 v2.5 and old JCE version and I have installed JCE 2.x version but no success...

Does anybody know why? some mootools or Jquery conflict?

I had just the same problem after upgrading to 2.5.X ... just deleted the item.php file under /template_name/html/com_k2/templates/[overides_name] and everything worked...

But... this is not the proper solution. Anybody with a better solution?

Yesterday I upgraded to the latest K2 release and now below articles with more then 1 comment K2 does something odd. It does not say "3 comments | Read more" but it says:

3 K2 Comments is a dual-function module used to display a) latest comments (from one or more categories) and b) a list of the top commenters. Read more...

I've checked the language file but it's correct in there:
K2_COMMENTS="comments"
K2_COMMENT="comment"

I've upgraded K2 to 2.5.1 version on my J1.5.23 site (cart3.altervista.org). Now, in backend, in the item edit pages no text editor works, and I can't publish no article!!

No te olvides hacer una copia del archivo modificado y descargartela porque sino cuando hagas un upgrade de versión sobrescribirás los cambios y los perderás.

It is possible, I reinstalled v2.4.1 (with deep regrets I must say, since 2.5.1 really brought some serious improvements) and deleted the directory
administrator/modules/mod_k2_stats
who was the only file not modified by the reinstall.

So far so good... I simply hope the guys at LofCoder will soon patch their free showcase module so it can fetch contents again like it's supposed to, and aiipw me to upgrade to 2.5.1

Upgrade to k2 v2.5 and fill in the spoof email field in the parameters to get rid of this

I have now found out that the KIDE Shout box component does not work then a "item" is viewed, but it works in "category" view, the K2 is blocking/stopping a Ajex script.

Disabling the K2 jquery made the Kunena forum work but what now

Everything was working fine before the upgrade, so what other scripts did it add/change ??

Have you verified that an item without all the iframe code works?
What versions of j and k2 are you using?
Did you upgrade the site or a fresh install?
