(Also, I don't like the look of all the "2.8 crash and burn" postings already popping up in the forum here.)

The blog post doesn't SPECIFICALLY MENTION any security fixes, and I can't find a ChangeLog on the site here.

So please confirm for me - is this a security release, or not??

di che tipo di problemi hai sentito parlare con j 3.7? Io per ora mi trovo bene..
Per la migrazione, per esperienza, è cosa dura. Di facile e indolore credo non ci sia niente, secondo me la cosa migliore è tentare l'aggiornamento all'ultima versione stabile di j2.5 e tentare l'upgrade alla 3.0.4, e poi fare tutti gli step delle varie versioni uscite finché riesci, aggiornando man mano le estensioni e correggendo il database. A quel punto, se il sito dove devi migrade gli articoli ha una installazione pulita di joomla e k2 puoi pensare, se sai farlo, di copiare le tabelle del database di k2 in quello nuovo

I have upgraded a site from Joomla 2.5, installed k2 2.7.1 and every thing is working fine.
when I load sig-pro 3.1 it breaks all k2 pages with a gallery. if I take the gallery off the page works if I uninstall sig pro the page works

Was doing some testing to see what is coming up next. Has anyone tried installing either the github masterk2.zip or 2.7.1. ver of k2 with the J40.dev?

So far all my templates and overrides have moved up thru the 3.x j upgrades with no problems, so i was just checking to see whats up next.

Apart from the double timezone thing (which I've now sorted by applying the dev version), everything has been going smoothly for a while now.

However, this morning, I get an email from the site owner saying that intro text has stopped working on the home page. And indeed it has. This page is built by using the menu item K2 --> Categories, with 3 categories assigned. The previous 2 articles are fine, but the new one is not. I added a test article (from the backend) and, regardless of what category I put it in (which is represented on this page), the introtext never worked. This happened before I did the dev upgrade and after so I don't think it's related to that.

On the category page www.tastecaliforniatravel.com/drink/wine it displays the read more correctly.

I upgraded Joomla to 3.7.3 with no problem but after upgrading to K2 v 2,8.0 (developer version dated from July 2017) I cant add /modify menu links to K2 items. The issue is that I can't select & accept selection of K2 item. There is only red button "CLOSE" not active in the window of selection.
Any suggestions, please?

I've come back to this to try again and still frustrated to no end. I've spent at least 3 full days off and on trying different things. I have a couple of sites that breaks every time I try to update to Joomla 3.7.3. I think my previous attempts were to 3.7.1 I think. Well, in any case as soon as I do the update the home page and all pages seem to loose their framework. I'm using K2. I've removed about all other extensions and still keep my site working. I just can't upgrade Joomla. I've done database checks, clearing cache etc prior and after. Thank goodness for backup. I've tried automatic updates, manual updates, etc. I don't know if it's K2, Joomla, or the combination or what. If it was just my personal site only I'd trash it, do the update and start over. But it's also doing it on a club site I built for a club I'm in. It took me a long time getting the gallery of all their pics up and would be a huge investment in time trying to rebuild that all over. For some reason I can attach files to this. I was going to show before and after.

It's either get past this or toss Joomla altogether. I mean I don't want to have to get to a point and have to rebuild a site all over when stuff like this happens. That or stay at the current version. Which I know will not work forever either.

I upgraded to Joomla 3.7.3 and PHP 5.6.29. Since those upgrades, we can no longer create new K2 articles or edit existing ones. On existing content all fields (category, tags, etc.) are correctly populated. The content tab is blank except for an icon that I associate with "power" on/off. If I switch to another editor then the content box is populated. I tried uninstalling JCE and reinstalling but it still doesn't display text in content box. I also purged cache with no effect.

If I inspect the "power" icon in the content field, it references:

Is that an issue with my template? The text is in the div but it's attribute is set to hidden.

Since I upgraded from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.7.1, I have noticed that all my {mp3} links don't show anything else than a blank box. Everything else works on my website.

• The download links work if I enable the option.
• The {youtube} links work too.
• I had the version 4.7.0 installed. Before updating to the dev version (4.8.0), it displayed the same error as on this tread: www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/42257-allvideos-quicktime-error
• Now that I have the latest dev version (4.8.0) installed, it's still not working, but I get no error at all.
• Same on Chrome and Firefox
• My files are in /images/audio
• I have tried to change my template to a default one and to disable most of my recent modules, it didn't change anything (but I can try that further maybe).

Any idea what is going on?

This is kinda hard with a heavily trafficked site and tons of components. The 3rd item I have no idea what you are referring to. Or what the measure will provide. Can you explain so that I have a sense of the effects on my client's site? I am not a coder so I am not familiar with most of the methods you have introduced. This problem arose just recently. I have not added any new components. We had a PHP upgrade and that is all other than the standard normal Joomla and component upgrades. Is there a bug in the new version of k2? Is there a way to get more focused help as we are moving very slowly and my client is at a standstill with K2. Please let me know. I am wanting to work hard on this but I do not understand what is going on and it had been nearly 2 weeks of conversing.

I tried once to upgrade K2 but all pagination became a mess and I left it as it was.
The site has many customised files and I think this was the problem.
But with joomla 3.6.5 my client said taht K2 was working fine. Do you believe k2 2.6.6 could work with J.3.6.5 without problems.
At this moment I restore my backup of J3.6.5 to check if K2 was really working at this point. I know for sure that he had no problems adding items and new categories. But now it was the first time in the last year that he needed to create a new menu item and the problem occurs.

I'm on K2 2.8.0 (upgraded to fix the issue in mod_k2_content with custom links not working) and Joomla 3.7.2.

When creating a new K2 'item' menu item, items are not selectable in the item list. Additionally the red 'close' button does not work. The modal close button does.

At present it's impossible to create menu links to K2 items.

I've attempted on both Firefox and Chrome on MacOs Sierra.

I just found out that it is only happening on 1 of my sites from 5-6 that use K2 all others are saving fine.
All sites have K2 v2.7.2 Dev Build (github.com/getk2/k2)

The only difference that i can remember about the problematic site is that i had upgraded to Dev Build on version K2 2.7.0 (i did update to K2 v2.7.2 Dev Build since then).
Plus that i have changed to 3 letters sql querries (don't know if it's relative).

I didn't build the site and am unfamiliar with CDNs. I don't see anything I'm unfamiliar with. The site is hosted at BlueHost, if that could be an issue.

Hello all.

I just upgraded my server to Joomla 3.7 and php7. Everything works well but none of my K2 pages are working. They all give me a 500 error when I try to access them. apache2 error.log file shows this:
I beleive that is the file responsible for RSS feeds. I've turned off every RSS feed setting in K@ though and it doesn't seem to fix it. Has anyone ran into this when upgrading their Joomla site?

I really do want to build a blog site with K2. As this is a new project decided to upgrade Joomla and PHP to the latest versions.
However after installing K2 simple things like imported articles won't open, menu items etc throw errors, so am a bit dismayed.
