You can either use the latest DEV version, github.com/getk2/k2/archive/master.zip or you can apply the patch in the commit's URL I sent you.

I got the answer from my internet provider.

the server delated two files "elFinderVolumeLocalFileSystem.class.php" ans "elFinderVolumeDriver.class.php" because they contain the expression "symlink".

Thé expression 'symlink' is considérée as a signature of pirate. To evoid this problèmes it is recommandée to delete that expression from the two files and reupload thème.
En fait, l'expression "symlink" est considéré comme étant une signature de pirate
Pour dépasser ce souci, il vous suffit de supprimer l'expression en question de ces deux fichiers et de les réuploder sur le serveur à nouveau.

Hi, I gonna use this as I have a similar issue.

It's a fresh install with K2 version 2.7.0
PHP version 5.6.18

When I had an extra field in a K2 category (from Associated "Extra Fields Group")
It becomes impossible to update or add a new item under this category!

It doesn't save and an image appear as you can see below

So just for your information I did download a K2 version 2.6.9 and install it over and it looks to work :)
But it means I can not run the lastest version 2.7.0 right?

It would be nice if we could get some specifications and news on (new) features, so we all can prepare ourselves for the next release. What do we need to take into account, are there issues that we will run into, what upgrade path is there, etc.

It is added throughout the site, just not K2, so i just wanted to add it to K2 through k2's template system as a workaround until I upgrade to a later version of K2.

I am using a joomlashine template and on the homepage bootstrap.min.js is loaded from the /media/jui folder. When I got to my knowledge base (K2 v2.6.9) in the frontend, the bootstrap.min.js library is not loaded. so i thought it could be 1 of the following

1. Joomla version
2. K2 blocking/not loading library
3. joomlashine template

At this time i also had a copy of my site running in xammp but with k2 v2.70 and the latest version of joomla running. the bootstrap.min.js was being loaded on k2 pages.

So back to my live site:

1. I upgrade to joomla 3.5.1 and it made no difference
2. I tried another joomlashine template on my live site and it made no difference. I also changed it on my xammp installation to see what happend. Changing the template makes no difference.

So this meant that either K2 v2.6.9 is actively blocking the loading of bootstrap.min.css or I need to include it via the k2 template.

Can you help me out with what is going on here.

I want to include bootstrap.min.js for my demo code without having to re-add it every article that needs it. Also bootstrap.min.js is available when using v2.7.0 but I do not want to migrate to that version just yet.

Hi,

I use K2 as a KB for all of my webdesign, IT and programming notes. As such I add code in to articles and then run the demos so I can see the code working on screen. I want to keep using k2 v2.6.9 for the time being because there are some UI layout issues that I do not like.

I am aware that the new version of K2 v.2.7.0 loads the bootstrap.min.js library which is great for later on.

One of my demos uses the .carousel function in bootstrap and rather than add the file into every demo that requires the library I want to add it just once because when I upgrade K2 this will no longer be required.

How can I get K2 v2.6.9 to load the file /media/jui/js/bootstrap.min.js , perhaps via the template.?

K2 v3 development has re-ignited and is on a steady track for a realistic release date by late April 2016, especially now that K2 v2.7.0 is also released (a requirement to upgrade to K2 v3.0.0).

Yes, you read correctly. Within a month's time, we'll make every effort to finalize all remaining issues and release K2 v3 :)

That was written on March 18, referring to the realistic release in late April. Now here we are again with a missed date and still 48 listed issues on Git.

So what is the new date?

I'm expring the sam problem and nothin of above have help me? There is now way to uploading images for me at this time in K2? When using "Item image" to upload nothing happens and when using "Brows on server" I get "Data is not Json"

What to do?

When I turn of SEOBOSS message disappears, but I get a 504 Gateway Time-Out when saving...

Hey Fotis, thanks, you do D*** good work! But are you sure you did not forget a little something in the 2.7 upgrade running in 3.5 Joomla , The item links show the video, and the photo gallery, of the items you are trying to link, does this in three different sites on me, it does this, before, it always showed only the item image, .... It is probably something I am doing, but I thought you should know, regarding your work, ... isn't it your brother who is the real brains of your operation ( humor intended) thanks.

I AM NO K2 SPECIALIST, this is just food for thought , BUT I see alot of post about the items not showing up after upgrade to 2. 7, well 1. MAKE SURE YOU GOT A BACK-UP (RECENT AS POSSIBLE ) BEFORE UPGRADE!!! before you brush your teeth backup before the upgrade! 2. I do not NOT think the issue of items NOT showing up is in your DATA base. Don't start screwwwwwwing with that DATA BASE, until a last resort, .... 3. I THINK, k2 2.7 was made to run with Joomla 3.5 which is a big Joomla upgrade!, Lots of changes ( I am ONLY giving advise for JOOMLA 3.5 , OK, ( unless I am wrong, and I have been many times) so ya gotta think about that. Second, no I mean 4th, or 5th, ....turning The REDIRCT Plug-in Off and then On can have an effect on the items an k2 as a whole in any upgrade or any installatin of K2, just switching it the redirect plugin off, then on can make it function, or upload with REDIRECT Off, then switch it on, (Joomla plugin with all joomla), do it from the plug in section, clear cashe, then upgrade .... JUST A FEW IDEAS

Hello guys,

Since the upgrade to joomla 3.5.1 and K2 2.7.0 I encountered an issue in the back end.

In the "add a new item" section, whenever I add more than a line of tags, the second line of tags goes out of border and become un-clickable!



Do you have any idea what should I do?

I recently upgraded to Joomla 3.5.1 and now I am getting these errors. Anyone else getting them?

Hello,

I used K2 2.6.9 with J3.4.8 and JW_SimpleImageGalleryPro-v3.0.8.

I could create both from frontend and backend a new item and uploading galleries with the button of the editor

After upgrading to J3.5.1 K2 2.7 and JW_SimpleImageGalleryPro-v3.1.0 I can only upload galleries from backend; in the fronted I get a blank popup (see imgur.com/17sBiFk) and there is no way to upload anything.

For the moment I got back to the previous situation.

Is there any way to solve the problem?

PS I also got into trouble by upgrading to 2.7 because of the bloody problem of the extra fields (www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/45145-error-after-upgrading-to-k2-v2-7-0)

Just worked it out - have disabled the plugin K2Notify and no more errors. (Will check for upgrades).

Here's a fun issue. I just spun off two sandboxes for a website in Joomla 2.5 to experiment with updates. On both sites -- one still at 2.5.8 and one upgraded to 3.5.1 -- when I upgraded to from K2 2.6.9 to 2.7 all the items and categories disappeared from the k2 admin screens. They're still in the database -- all the k2 items still show in the front-end pages as before -- but the admin screens show no content (see attached).

On the 2.5 site, which I did second, I checked to make sure that after the migration to the sandbox site, all of the items displayed correctly in the admin while still in version 2.6.9. They disappeared directly after installing 2.7.0.

Was there a database table rename or something? This hasn't happened on the few other sites I've upgraded to 2.7.0.

Have a site that imports feeds as k2 content daily and site size is growing very fast which impacts our server storage capacity.

Would love to take advantage of S3 integration and upgrade to v3.
- Is this feature of v3 stable at this time?

On more general note...
How far from production use is the current dev version?
Or better yet which features of dev v3 are not finished?

This list would save a ton of hours on verification of things working properly.
