Scheint einen kleinen Bug zu geben mit der aktuellsten Version für Joomla 1.5

Ich weiss, man sollte die 1.5 Version nicht mehr brauchen, aber wenn ein Kunde das Upgrade nicht zahlen will, dann bleibt es halt ;)

Jedenfalls, die aktuellste Version leitet immer nach dem Speichern der Items in K2 auf die index.php Frontseite um anstelle in die Item Übersicht.

Hat jemand anderes das Problem auch?

Recently, I have upgraded to Joomla 3.1.5 and using K2 2.6.7. One issue I came across with the upgrade to Joomla 3.1.5, when adding or editing an item/category, I receive the error of JForm::getInstance could not load file

Any help to resolve this issue is appreciated!

Hello everyone.

A few days ago I noticed that when I create a new menu item showing an usual joomla article, or updating an existing one, the system adds to the menu string this sequence between the base domain and what should be the menu item:

/k2-information/k2-media-manager/

For exemple, I have friendly urls and server rewriting, and what should be a normal link to an usual joomla article: www.mydomain.com/my-article
the system shows the url or converts it back if it already exists in: www.mydomain.com/k2-information/k2-media-manager/my-article

I recently made an upgrade of a component, including the latest K2 version to V2.6.7, also joomla to 2.5.14. I did not realize until now, surely will activate or disable an option, but not which.

Someone with the same bug too? How I can fix it??

I'm experiencing a similar problem of duplicate articles being created by K2. I'm not sure if this is user error by my blogger or not. But last time it happened I did find the problem.

When you have front-end editing enabled, you have to make sure the "Edit Own Articles" permission is set in the K2 >> User Groups >> Edit User Permission dialog. Otherwise the system creates a copy of the article.

I also think that when I updated K2 last time, that permission setting got changed by the upgrade. I hope I'm wrong, because resetting permissions is a hassle. It's happened with some components, not just K2. And I be wrong about that.

I recently upgraded K2 to version 2.6.7 and started getting the following error when loading K2 articles only:

Error loading component: com_users, 1

I have only 2 users (both super admins) on my site. Its a blog and there isn't an option to login on the front end. There was demo users and K2 content in the quickstart package I installed - these have all been removed and verified in the database.

So far I've done the following to try and fix the issue.

1. Uninstall/Clean install of K2
2. FTP'd the Joomla Administrator/com_users and components/com_users files
3. Made sure all comments were removed and turned off in K2 config
4. Checked and cleaned out my database tables of any comments/demo users
5. I have sh404sef installed and toggling on or off doesn't effect the issue.
6. I'm using a Gavick template which has K2 bundled with it. Switching to Joomlas default Atomic template doesn't fix the issue either.
7. User - K2 plugin is published

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm try to launch this week.

Joomla: 2.5.14
K2: 2.6.7

i am running joomla 2.5.14 and upgraded k2 yesterday as it showed i needed to update it. now i get the 500 error. i've upgraded on two sites and same issue on both. i had cache turned off before and still have the 500 error. is this version bad? why hasn't an admin posted a response?

Hy,

most i learned here about the concept of overriding: getk2.org/documentation/k2class2012/865-k2-template-and-overrides
also the other videos helped me at my beginning.

there are 3 layers of modification:

1. k2.css itself (problem: all of your changes maybe gone after a k2-upgrade)
2. template: maybe you template support k2, so theres a css for (like ie. jsn_k2_ext.css)
3. your overrides (have a look at the video)

I just updated K2 as it said in Joomla updates. Now when I go to add item or edit item, it get 500 error, can't load xml. this is on front end or back end the post is showing on the front end though.

Thanks Ruth, much appreciated.

I came up with a work-around of only using K2 for the blog posts and keeping static content under the regular Joomla! content, but it isn't ideal. It works for the site I'm upgrading at the moment, but I have another to upgrade shortly that I will definitely need your solution for.

Thanks, Krikor. Now it works. But, what if I upgrade k2? In that case, the version will change and the unset rule will no longer work, because the version is present within the path:

unset($this->_scripts[JURI::root(true).'/components/com_k2/js/k2.js?v2.6.7&amp;sitepath='.JURI::root(true).'/']);

I think a regex should be used. Would you please help me with that?

And also, would you please answer my second quesion, repeated below:

From where the k2.js is declared? I mean, where is the code that add k2.js to the header?

Thanks, Krikor. I had upgraded to k2 2.6.6 and there was no "notice." But now that you said this notice is not important, I will consider upgrading to the latest version, 2.6.7. But, Would you please tell me how should I change the error reporting to "simple"?

Also, I'm facing another issue regarding upgrades. This is about Joomla itself, not k2. When upgrading from Joomla 2.5.8 to 2.5.14, I get the below error. How important is that? Should I forget about upgrating Joomla?

JInstaller: :Install: Error SQL DB function failed with error number 1062 Duplicate entry '28' for key 'PRIMARY' SQL=INSERT INTO .....

Hello, I am have migrated all data via J!Upgrade but I notice an error each time I am trying to access the K2 Users tab.

It's a 500 error and this is the output:

After upgrading from k2 2.5.1 to 2.6.7, everything seems to work fine, except the extra fields. In the backend, I get this errors:

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$rows in \administrator\components\com_k2\models\extrafield.php on line 224 Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$cols in \administrator\components\com_k2\models\extrafield.php on line 225

Is there any solution? Should I downgrade to previous versions?

The site seemed to be working well until I did a required Joomla upgrade through GoDaddy. Now the site is broken and even restoring history isn't correcting the issues where HTML is showing up as plain text. It seems correct in the admin area, but shows as plain text in the site. Even recreating the items and changing categories seems to make no difference. I would appreciate any assistance.

The site is employU.org. I'm using 40666 from Template Monster. They have been unable to assist me except to suggest that I reinstall template which will apparently replace my content. This is not an option.

That looks promising for adding additional groups to items.

Not sure if it still allows you to control what items are shown.

Also do you know if this plugin modifies the core thus creating upgrade problems for K2 or Joomla?

You have to install this extension www.akeebabackup.com/products/admin-tools.html to your DEV site (not your production site) and read the extension's documentation.

The first two buttons are upgrade buttons one for your Joomla! installation and the other for the extension itself.

You have to migrate K2 seperately. The content is strored in different tables.

You can use a service called CMS 2 CMS or try the upgrade method.
