I have site with k2 component and i have an error in url (page 404) by using arabic characters in tags or item name

This is using both as a plugin within a K2 item and also simply using the gallery feature within K2. I haven't got to the module stage YET. ;)

I fully agree, but this is a migrated website in which the previous webmaster did not tell the clients about the readmore feature. So there are 1566 k2-items that need to now show an "intro" on the blog layout page.

I saw other posts that other users said the wordlimit works but it shows code for me. Is there another way?

I found this code in the forums but it is not stripping the code:

Hi,
on my website i recently noticed an issue about the k2 items in sitemap.
I was using RsSeo to create the sitemap, but lots of new items were excluded.
I supposed was an RSseo issue then i purchased Jsitemap. I setup jsitemap with k2 items and tags.
When finished the sitemap created was the same obtained with RSseo.
The last items i created are never appear in the sitemap.
It is so strange, when i use the crawler tool the pages are not shown.
Then i supposed was a K2 problwm.

joomla 3 and k2 are updated. I use sh404sef, but the pages are shown on here.
no gzip or cache are enabled.
Any idea? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I am not a programmer, but have just picked up what I need to know to set up my Joomla 3 website with K2 for the articles and blog. I am using S5 Design Control template and have played around with the custom.css override file. I put the following into the file to try to get this styling every time I use the h1 tag in my articles but it doesn't work.

font-weight: bold;
font-size: 36px;
line-height: 36px;
Colour: #787678
} !important

Using Firefox's "inspect element" I found that my custom.css is not being used of the article page. I know that I have to put the module class suffix in a module, but I don't know how to do it in this case

I have tried disabling and enabling the K2 css parameter with no success.


Am I off the track or what else do I have to do. obvious there is more to it than that.

At its simplest form, just append 'format=json' to get the default K2 output in JSON. The additional GET parameters mentioned above only work in categories, user pages, tags etc. If you append 'format=json' to an item URL you will get all the item's contents in JSON format. Additionally, you can pass a callback function to the above URLs in case you want to wrap the output in a function. The format is 'format=json&callback=Z', replacing Z with your callback function name.

Either map that author page in a menu item, or create a new empty K2 categories item. Leave the category selection empty and call it eg: content.
This way all orphan tags and authors are rendered through that menu item.

It's been a while sice I first noticed that google crawles K2 authors urls from cats and items. It looks like that:

and so on

similar thing with Item tags but those I put with rel=nofollow

Is there any way to make permanent urls for users, for example www.site/author/Mr.Bean ?

You have to enable tags normalization and add the characters replacements for the characters you want to get stripped.

I have a problem with they way, K2 tags generate URLs. I use special characters as my website is in Polish.

So once, I add tag with the name of Arsenal keeper - which in Polish is: Wojciech Szczęsny it should generate in URL as: wojciech-szczesny

But it doesn't, instead it is: wideo/tag/Wojtek Szczęsny

Which obviously is terrible for SEO. Each item alias is generated correctly, but the problem is with the tags, not just with the letters, but also a space given between name "Wojtek Szczęsny" in URL!

I have used suggested plugin K2_DEV_BUILD

Within the global configuration >> K2>> Tag System Settings it seems, that everything should be fine imgur.com/rH4J6eu

This is something you need to build with your content extension, not Simple Image Gallery PRO. For example, you can use tags for articles ( or K2 items if you use K2 ) to achieve such a result. You can also use categories for something like that.

tienes que ser mas específico con tu problema, como lo describes puede ser cualquier cosa, como x ej: mala configuración de las etiquetas en k2, tu pantilla, navegador, javascript etc.

The og:title is automatically generated from K2. It inherits the category's or the item's title.
This is the default behaviour I would urge not to hack core K2 files.

You can add your own custom meta tags using Joomla!'s API docs.joomla.org/JDocument/setMetaData

Ho recentemente riscontrato un errore nel mio sito.
In una unica pagina, il css di K2 non viene caricato. Controllando con "ispeziona" di chrome ho notato questo errore

• GET www.gamazine.it/components/com_k2/css/k2.css 404 (View non trovato [name, type, prefix]: category, css, contentView)
• 224-dead-or-alive-xtreme-3-hitomi-trailer.html:39 GET www.gamazine.it/components/com_k2/js/k2.js?v2.6.9&sitepath=/ 404 (View non trovato [name, type, prefix]: category, js, contentView)
• 224-dead-or-alive-xtreme-3-hitomi-trailer.html:378 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL

Ho fatto diverse prove tra cui:
eliminare la cache
disabilitare cache, gzip
disabilitare e disinstallare Jotcache
disabilitare e disinstallare JCH optimizer
copiare il contenuto della cartella /com_k2/templates nella cartella /templates/miotemplate/html/com_k2/
Ho provato a cambiare i permessi della cartella Cache da 755 a 775
copiare il file k2.css nella cartella /css/custom del mio template
ad ogni singola modifica, eliminavo la cache prima di refreshare e ho guardato il sito sia con chrome che con firefox.
L'unico risultato ottenuto è che ora anche le altre pagine non si visualizzano correttamente (mentre prima era solo una)
Allora ho riprovato a reinstallare JCH e rimettere i settaggi come erano in precedenza, riabilitando gzip e cache.

il sito in questione è gamazine .it
Le pagine degli articoli erano formattate correttamente da K2, mentre ora non lo sono più.
La pagina che è sempre stata formattata male è gamazine .it/blog/
Nel mio htaccess ho un unico redirect da non-www a www più quelli di default di joomla
ho recentemente aggiunto l'utilizzo di cloudflare, ma non ho controllato se questa pagina avesse già questi errori prima
in cloudflare ho disabilitato il minify ma la sua cache non si può disabilitare (mi pare)
La versione di Joomla è Joomla! 3.4.8 Stable e K2 v2.6.9
Php 5.4.39
Il template è XENON di Rockettheme.
Estensioni utilizzare: Jotcache e JCH optimize
