This error is because you upload the images .zip in K2 before configuring the plugin
Root folder for image galleries -> media/k2/galleries
If you do not do this before you will have error
To correct go to the image folder on the server: root/media/k2/galleries -> delete image folder you uploaded
Then go to the item you have upload image on k2, click on Image gallery tab, click in check-box for delete and click apply or save
Now upload zip image forder and save. That is it.

I just purchased and downloaded Simple Image Gallery Pro. I tried uploading a gallery into an item I have in the K2 section of my site but got the following error message "There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: media/k2/galleries/6"

All i have done is uploaded the Simple Image Gallery Pro and enabled it and made sure the settings are the same as in the documentation. Not sure what to do next. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I just purchased the simple gallery pro. It installled just fine, I enabled it afterwards. I zip the jpg. images and load them through the k2 items. but I get this error, in the items frontend and backend;:

Hi.

I'm trying to setup the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin with lightbox popup galleries. But none of the slideshow capable lightbox script is working. I tried Pretty photo, fancybox, highslide, lytebox.

For example, one of my k2 item have 3 images as slideshow, when i click on the main image, the lightbox popped up but it only show only one slide, can't go next or previous, seems like the images does not belong to the same group. Maybe it has incomplete rel tags.

Please help me.

Well not really, are you familiar with CSS? if not we can get in touch and I can check it out for you if you'd like. It's either you revise the CSS class from your websites template or you revise the class from the module itself. It's css, it's there and that's how it gets fixed, sometimes it's not as easy as click and bam you're done :p

If you want to take a shot at it yourself, look for the template

/root-path-of-your-website/modules/mod_k2_content/tmpl/Default/default.php

if you don't want to mess around with CSS via css file you can simply apply an inline style within the UL tag.

Within the UL tag if it doesn't already exist add the following

style="list-style-type:none;"

this definition will eliminate the disk that displays in your module. If this doesn't work, check to see if this module template was copied into your main website templates /html/ directory which in that case would serve as the override so you would have to edit that file instead.

Thanks for your response, I am going to test it out further however my goal was to have the searchable text work more with the K2 tagging system instead of the Joomla Search mainly because I want to utilize the K2 Tagged item listing template based on the values applied in the extra field just so I can manage my presentation of the content listed within the tag. Again thanks for providing this detail, this is the first time i've used Extra Fields even though i've been using K2 for some time, this is one detail I was unaware about until now.

If you or anyone can shed some additional light on setting the Extra Field to an actual tag that would be great

I have upgraded Joomla from 1.5 to 2.5
and
I have upgraded K2 from K2 v2.4.1 to K2 v2.5.7

The upgrade has been successful apart from my K2 search filter which displays items based on tag.

I get the following error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /public_html/jupgrade/modules/mod_k2_content_tag/mod_k2_content_tag.php on line 45

I think I've got it! The article is posted in a sub catagory: Reviews - EP Reviews - Techno.
There is a menu item for both Reviews and EP Reviews but not for techno, so the article itself is indeed in a category for which there is no menu item.... I did not realised this because of the two main categories but you are absolutely right; the article itself is indeed in a category which does not have a menu link. Feel a little stupid now.

Anyway: that raises another question... I don't really want a menu item for all the available genres, so is there a work around? If I create the menu, but don't publish it...will that work?

Mais dans tous les cas c'est dans un fichier Css que tu retrouvera ce paramètre.

Regardes plus précisément quel paramètre que tu veut modifier (avec FireBug par exemple ou dans ta vue source). Je te conseil si c'est bien en front que tu veut modifier la présentation de lire : getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/item/174-templating-with-k2-and-the-concepts-of-sub-templates

N'hésites pas à nous partager plus d'éléments car pour la partie d'affichage des éléments supplémentaires il existe beaucoup de classes css.

I am setting up a series of Custom Fields and am wondering if there is a line of code that I can surround my Custom Field Value with so that it turns it into a K2 Tag instead of just text. The values are applied via Custom Field and not the actual K2 Tagging field when creating an article so i'm hoping there is a line of code that converts the text from plain text to an actual tag.

Hopefully the idea is straight forward and easy to understand.

Actually, I did some test, and I'm not sure if this is a problem of 1 or multiple category, this now I added a tag in an article, and there's no more warning. It seems 1 article.. and only 1 needs tag, or itmake it bug. I have another article without tag and there's no warning.. And then with other tests, it seems the tag is not the problem, or not the only one. The "primary count" with 12 as value, changed now to 10 has solved the problem! I don't really understand, do you know why??

Ah.. bon je viens de faire quelques tests, et il semble que ce ne soit pas un problème de choix d'une seule catégorie ou de plusieurs.. mais plutôt un problème avec les tag dans les articles. J'en avais un sans tag.. j'y en ai mis un et maintenant je n'ai plus de warning.. j'ai d'autres articles sans tag, mais cela fonctionne tout de même, alors pourquoi cet article spécifiquement avait besoin d'un tag!? Et puis après d'autres tests, cela ne semble pas ce tag ce problème, ou pas uniquement.. il y aurait aussi le primary count qui était à 12, en le mettant à 10, il n'y a plus de problème, pas sur de comprendre. POURQUOI??

Ok, just in case if someone will search for answer, here is a solution I was given at Stackoverflow:

doc tag only works in joomla core template. If you want to load modules of specific position in your k2 subtemplate write the following code at your desired location in that subtemplate.

$module = JModuleHelper::getModules('xxxx'); // xxxx is any virtual position, no need to create it anywhere. echo JModuleHelper::renderModule($module[0]); replace xxxx with your desired position name.

You can make use of the tag function, have the same tags for your active products and legacy products, next in the item view options of your category set the Related items (by tag) to Yes and you also have the option to show the image, title and etc

You can separate your article with a readmore hr tag, content above the readmore is your introtext and K2 readmore will appear after it.

Or you can go to K2 parameters configuration -> Advanced
and Set the Use one editor window for introtext & fulltext to NO. Now when adding items, you will be presented with 2 boxes, one for introtext and the other for fulltext instead of just one box.
