This should work... Find the file tag.php in the components/com_k2/templates/default folder. Make a copy of it and save it so you have a copy of the original file (I like to name mine something like tagOLD.php) just in case you ever need to restore the original for any reason.

Hello, I'm using Joomla 2.5.6. and K2 2.5.7. I install the simple image gallery plugin pro 2.5.7. Unfortunately when I try to upload a zip file directly from K2 galleries I get an error that says "There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: media/k2/galleries/2". The image path in the plugin is set to media/k2/galleries is that correct? What I saw is that the folder 2 is created automatically and inside that there is the folder that I had previously zipped. So basically the pictures are inside a subfolder of folder 2.
Any suggestion? Please help me, I'm going nuts here
For the record, here's an idea of the issue I am having with URLs while using Joomla SEF settings. The URL of a tag depends upon which page or category the tag is accessed from. All categories are mapped to the menu according to the category structure.
This issue seems to be with publishing k2 on the front page. Once I replaced an article with the front page and removed k2 the categories and tag links now work. They no longer redirect to the home page.
Not sure if this was something I did or if this was due to the most recent update. This was working correctly when I installed the test site on Aug 7th.
Hi. Search engines will treat correctly the link with no issues, since the base tag is present. If you however want to change that it is generated in the /components/com_k2/views/itemlist/view.html.php
Hi guys, i want to create a website where registered users can ask for volunteer help so it would be a listing website like petfinder.com (for example). I see that k2 allow user to add item and that is fine, but I need that users could specify other fields like country, phone, address, etc into the item (required fields, should be placed near title, tags, category...). Another things I don't know how to do is how to list items into a category in a different view. Instead of the classic view I need a grid with 5 or more column displaying Image, Name, title, etc (if possible should be able to order ascending descending, etc)... do you think it's possible with k2?

is there a way to create a custom search in tags?
more like filter. so visitor could filter the results like, electrician, in Athens, etc.

b) i have created all the posts as administrator. is there a way for users, to log in and change only the details for their entry? for example "Michael" user could change his telephone on the k2 directory.
Hi. Go to Joomla! configuration and enable system debugging. After that try to add a tag or a user to a K2 group. If there is an SQL error the debugger will show it to you.
Hi. This kind of functionality is not included in K2. Your only option is the mod_k2_tools tag cloud. You can also make a template override to the module and make it look exactly as you wish.
Ciao a tutti, sono nuovo del mondo joomla, per avere un cms per progetti rapidi, sto sperimentando la versione 1.5, ho installato correttamente K2 e Joomfish , per potenziare il sistema contenuti e per la gestione multilingua.
Quando provo a caricare o a linkare (sfoglia il server) un immagine all' Articolo/item di k2 (non nel contenuto), il salvataggio genera un errore SERVER empty response. Stessa cosa se provo ad allegare un file.
Per sfizio, ho installato anche Joomla2.5 pulito, ho installato successivamente l'estensione K2 ma mi si presenta sempre lo stesso problema.
A qualcuno si è presentato lo stesso problema? a cosa potrebbe essere dovuto?
p.s. Joomla in entrambe le versioni è installato localmente su mac con il pacchetto MAMP.
p.p.s. con k2 e joomfish e la possibilità di effetuare l'overiding dei template di k2 mi sembrava di aver trovato una buona soluzione per ogni progetto, ma questi problemi mi fanno disperare.
As the subject suggest, I would like to make a page that would display all available K2 tags, is that possible?
The tag cloud can do that if I set it to a very high number but I was hoping for another alternative that would better display all the tags in a neater look.
What would be even more ideal is if I can display the tags by categories, so it would be like a site map of some sort.
I recently had my website upgraded to SQL 5.1.63 and PhP 5.3.15. I am using Joomla 2.5.4. The ISP that did the upgrade messed up and SQL has now been recompiled to properly include all the necessary PhP extensions about 6 times. I thought things were fine until I tried adding tags to new articles - they won't add - they just vanish. And none of my other articles had their tags either and I cannot re-add them. Then I realized that I was unable to add new users to a K2 group. So while my articles are still grouping and presenting themselves ok, I have lost the ability to have tags, groups and, by the way, K2 comments. Anyone with any clues on how to fix this?
Hi all, I'm trying to get this layout for tag pages demo.gavick.com/joomla16/jul2011/index.php/2011-08-04-23-47-02/k2-tags but there seems to be only a choice for no text or full text, I saw half a help file about creating a template for tag pages but need the snippet of code to add to the page to get this effect of a limited amount of words for the intro text. Any ideas genii? Cheers Dom
Thanks for the reply. I rearranged my tags and categories to use the featured parameters, but as soon as I got the featured items to the top the other items changed how they were sorted. I'll figure it out one day.
I am new to K2 and I'm using it as a business directory for listing employees by department (in K2 language, items by category). I've played around in the css a bit and the various display options in item view & item view in category view but I'm stuck at 1 thing. How do I decrease the spacing between items (see screenshot). I'm looking to decrease the spacing between the title and content (in my case, the item title is the employee name and content is their title, etc.) I have attached an image showing the spacing and would like the content to show up under the title (position under the employee) as if it was the next line of text with a <br> or even a <p> in between title and content. Same thing with the space between content and "Tagged under".
