Olá amigos, e desenvolvedores do K2.Primeiramente gostaria de parabeniza-los pelo excelente trabalho de vocês.Gostaria de tirar algumas dúvidas pois estou tendo alguns problemas com o componente K2.Acessem este link "www.portalcorretordeimoveis.com.br/dimas-64673/item/22-villa-paulista-apartments".Desenvolvi este portal imobiliário e utilizo o K2 para divulgar os anuncios, porém estou tendo problemas na galeria de imagens, o componente não está reconhecendo o caminho do arquivo zipado que eu mando.Nesta pagina que eu passei, para fazer uma galeria funcionar precisei utilizar o {gallery},{/gallery}. Percebam que ao final da página exite uma outra galeria, que é a galeria do K2 mesmo que não aparece.Gostaria também de dar uma sugestão para o componente, pois necessitei desta funcinalidade para este projeto e não consegui resolver o problema. OK, with K2 one of the main featured for you would be the nested categories, or categories within a category.

An example for you would be

Meat Dishes (category)
Pork Dishes (sub category)
Chicken Dishes (sub category)
Lamb Dishes (sub category)
Desserts (category)
Cakes (sub category)
Ices (sub category)
Puddings (sub category)

I plan to design a new website for offers of any kind products. I think that k2 i the perfect choise for this but I have a question.I will try to categorize all my offers in categories/subcategories like food, tech etc.So I attach any offer to some of these categories.In addition I want to build some caategoriazation based on the city that the offer is published. I thing that some extra fields like City as dropdown list can be help me to do this.My wish is to make a flash map as interface of my frontpage with all available cities of my offers. The user can select a town and the system have to show only the categories and the offers of that town.Here is the problem! How can I select categories or offers from certain town? How can I select records with certain extra field data? Is that posible? The extrafield data is searchable but how can I refer to certain category? Something like tag (shown as link) but I want to show the category list and no itemlist.Thanks and keep going develop this great component.

Try a good Editor for Joomla such as JoomlaCK and you are done with it.

Thank you for your reply. There is nothing in the extensions directory at Joomla.org that does this. I don't know enough about K2 to write my own yet, but maybe soon. Basically I am looking for something like:

thanks for your interest. I have menu items to k2 categories and inside parameters I have choose parents categories with all sub categories and every categories have an intro text limit set to 50. but this setting works fine for only sub category pages when comes to the main category page it show the full article. What happened to Simon where r you dude?

How do you show these items listing? Do you have a menu item to K2 Categories and inside the parameters you have chosen the Parent category only or all subcategories? Do also the subcategories have introtext limit set to 50?

I don't know, but based on the Google webmaster pages here:

it is pretty clear that:

The six heading elements, H1 through H6, denote section headings. Although the order and occurrence of headings is not constrained by the HTML DTD, documents should not skip levels (for example, from H1 to H3), as converting such documents to other representations is often problematic. W3C

If you skip a level may create an impression that your page is not well organized. And since you can style any headline to look however you want it to look, it is no longer a good idea to skip H1 or other headings simply because you don't like how they look.

So I see more benefit from the second H tag structure. The only reason I could think K2 chose the first is because it was thought the current k2 h tag structure gives more importance to the item titles and category titles rather than the sections on page those titles are in. If this is the reason then, it may be hindering SEO for 'some' search engines because the structure does not properly outline the category page. Also the search engines will give credence to the forcibly promoted H tags by following their links anyway, so why not make the category page follow W3C standards using the second example in my previous post?

I noticed that K2 sets header tags in category layouts funny.  When I do a page outline my headers look like this:<h1>Page title</h1><h2>Missing</h2><h3>Children Categories</h3>
<h2>category title 1</h2><h2>category title 2</h2><h2>category title 3</h2><h3>missing</h3><h4>Like More Items</h4>

It is the way K2 works. It strips out certain tags from the intro text. you would need to edit this functionality with code if you want to change it as far as I know.

Hi, folks!As far as I looked around, K2 has no specific configurable module “Related Items”, usable beneath a single publication. The only way to get a list of related is to use Item view option “Related items by tag”, isn't it?
OK, We are using this option, but... According to the project specification we need to get Title, as well as author's name, date, comments' count in every line of Related Items list.
We've already solved how to get date and authors, but comments count is a hard nut to crack... :) There is a part of code of com_k2\templates\default\item.php (attached txt).
What should be modified (added) in order to get the needful results?
I would appreciate any suggestions...Thanks.
