IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING THE FORUM

Unfortunately, the latest update for Kunena has seemingly broken all code snippets (old and new) in the forum.

Copy the module's settings somewhere, uninstall it and then re-install it. Do you still get this issue?

@fotis Same error message after uninstalled and reinstalling.
By save settings do you mean entry in _extensions table?

I was having the exact same issue, so decided to poke around the module folder (in my joomla install), over at /modules/mod_jw_srfr and noticed the file "_mod_jw_srfr.xml" so I simply renamed it to "mod_jw_srfr.xml" and the module started working.
I'm also on a linux server (shared hosting).

This is indeed a bug for new installations apparently, because the main module XML file is not being renamed. This happens because I wanted the package to be Joomla 1.5 to 3.x compatible (and 4.x compatible in the near future).

It will be addressed really soon.
