Did you put {mp4}myvideo{/mp4}?

I always use flash so the {flv}myvideo{/flv} has always worked.

According to the documentation you can use mov.

I tried this as well. I took one of my flv videos, converted it to mp4. The mp4 was 3 times larger than the flv version. It took much longer to load because of its size. But like you, I only got audio. If you can convert your video to flv that has always worked for me on the web. I think sites that deliver video like You Tube have special servers that can handle the larger and more complex formats. I am hosted by go daddy and I don't think they can handle the same traffic and bandwidth required by these larger formats. My flv videos play fine from go daddy.

Of course another option is to copy the video to You Tube and embed the You Tube video. That may not be a desireable solution for a corporate client though.

yes. he doesn't want his videos be attached to youtube. when i try to use mov extension, the player requires me to download quicktime player which is too much for a visitor. my client doesn't want his videos to be converted to flash video. i really am puzzled.

I took a quick look at JW Player forum for this. There was someone over there posting the same problem.

This was their response:

Your video file lindasenatenom.mp4 is encoded with a video codec that is not supported by the Adobe Flash Player.

Format: MPEG-4 Visual should be Format: AVC which is the Advanced Video codec (H.264).

I did a quick test on this. My video conversion software uses a different codec by default. I converted the same flv as before to mp4 and this time specified the AVC codec. It worked.
