Front End Editor Error was created by Will Long
Not really sure if I should post this with JCK Editor or here with Joomla Works AllVideos, so I am going to post it in both forums.

I can edit using the Site Administrator area, but when you try to edit using JCK Editor in The Front End you get the following error.

Fatal error: Class 'JParameter' not found in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxx/plugins/editors/jckeditor/jckeditor/includes/ckeditor/plugins/editor/allvideosparameters.php on line 28

We are using:
AllVideos (by JoomlaWorks) Plugin 4.0
Joomla 1.7 with Beez 20 template
JoomlaCK Editor Plugin 3.4.7 beta2

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem after installing Allvideos on my J17. After logging in from the front end, can't edit articles anymore.

This is what it says:

Fatal error: Class 'JParameter' not found in /home/securesm/public_html/plugins/editors/jckeditor/jckeditor/includes/ckeditor/plugins/editor/allvideosparameters.php on line 28

Here is the link to my website

The error you get is from the JCK Editor. Not from AllVideos. Their code on some AllVideos integration is probably old. Either update JCK or install our own favorite JCE from: www.joomlacontenteditor.net

Hi All,

jParameter isn’t needed and therefore not present in Joomla 1.6, 1.7 and 2.5. I expect that user sst123 was using an old version of the JCK Editor which wasn’t Joomla 1.7 compatible, or some legacy files from an older versions of the editor was still somehow present on system.

What to do:
The fix would be perform fresh install using the latest compatible version of the JCK Editor.

JCK All Videos bridge plugin
On another note, I have just test the “ All Videos bridge plugin ” for the JCK Editor on and it works beautifully in Joomla 2.5.1. I was able to upload and get the editor to write the All Videos syntax tags autumnally.

Kindest regards,

Paul  :)
