I have tried two versions of the code because I am not sure from example if the full file name needs to be specified.:

Problem is neither displays the video. All I see on the page is the code with the first {swf} stripped away. 

When the page first load the full code appears at the top, then jumps down about 400 px ( height of video )
and the code displays minus the first {swf} tag. (  myfilename{/swf}  )

Yes the plugin is enabled. and the correct path is in the parameters of the plug in and the file is uploaded. I can access directly from browser.

{swf}myfilename{/swf}

Joomla version 1.5.25 / Plug in version  4.1

Am I missing a step?
