We have just released a minor update to AllVideos, version 4.3, fully compatible with Joomla! versions 1.5 to 2.5.
This new update adds/updates/fixes:
- Fixes custom "autoplay" trigger not functioning properly in v4.2. It's the trigger used in plugin tags, e.g. {youtube}YukDEDBE|400|300|1{/youtube}
- Added the following new video providers:
Blip TV, Justin TV, TwitVid, yFrog (videos only). See the updated documentation on ways to embed videos from these new providers.
- The Flash/HTML5 audio player now has its own color options and skin. Checkout the demo at
demo.joomlaworks.net/allvideos (look for the MP3 file embed)
- In v4.2 we added SoundCloud.com support and we also introduced a new simpler embedding mechanism. Users copy the entire URL of a SoundCloud "track" or "set" and then place it inside {soundcloud} plugin tags, e.g. {soundcloud}
soundcloud.com/sebastien-tellier/look{/soundcloud}. This new embedding method does not use the "media id" pattern which AllVideos has used since 2006. The goal is to make embedding as simpler as possible. So we have enabled this embedding behaviour for the following providers as well:
YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, TwitVid, yFrog - please note that these providers can be embedded using both the "media id" pattern AND full media URLs, e.g. {youtube}
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_-YukDEDBE{/youtube} and {youtube}5_-YukDEDBE{/youtube} will produce the same result. We plan to have this "dual" embedding way available soon for more existing providers as well.
The only providers that require a FULL URL to have their media embedded are SoundCloud.com, Blip.tv and Justin.tv

UPGRADING
Just upload the new version and it will overwrite the old one. Visit the plugin parameters page, check if everything is OK and save the parameters.
