I just installed Allvideos v 4.4, using Joomla 1.5.22. I am playing MP3 files. I test in four browsers, IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. The player displays and plays in Firefox and Chrome. In IE I get a black bar with a "play" button in the middle, which opens WMP in a popup box and plays the files. In Safari the player is there but when I hit the "play" button I get a new page with an Access Denied error 403 message. I am testing in localhost, and am baffled as to why the other three browsers can access the file but Safari can't

When searching for Safari and mp3 on the net, a lot of hits are coming up.
Most of the answers goes on trying a newer version of Safari - could it be a solution in your case?

Chokdk - my version is about 6 months old, not sure if there is a newer one, but I will check and see if that helps.

Katia - MP3 is an audio file, not video, but I will probably not let this issue prevent putting the page on the internet if I can get others resolved, since Safari is less than 10% of visits to our site.
