Hi all,

I have install new version plugin v4.4 on Joomla 1.5.22. Then I have enable itand put video inside directory images/stories/video/vid.flv. Then I have put {flv}vid{/flv} inside an article. I can not see the video but only the code on the webpage in any browser. I am using an JCE editor. Do I have to set anything else because this steps are not working. Do I have to install any media player (JW player) or something else?

Code inside an article:

{flv}vid{/flv}

{mp3}men{/mp3}

{flv}vid{/flv}

<p>{mp3}men{/mp3}</p>

Thank you for your help.

Regards,
Rob55

Hi rob55
The only things I know of is:
Is images/stories/video your standard video folder? ("default" is images/videos as I remember)
You can also put "/video" inside the patch ( like:  {flv}/video/vid{/flv} )

Have you enabled AllVideos so it's active?
Be sure that the library you want t osee videos from is read enabled (like "755")

You don't have to install JW player - it's a part of AllVideos.

I hope one of these things will help you further :)

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your reply. I still have problems despite changing the folder rights to 777 and changing to original folder videos.
All files also have maximum rights 777. Plugin is also enabled.

I am using the wrong editor (JCE) or must I enable something else beside the plugin? Please, any assistance would be appreciated.

Check the code:

{flv}/videos/vid{/flv}

{mp3}/videos/men{/mp3}

{flv}/videos/vid{/flv}

HI all,

the plugin works!!!! The problem was that I have installed plugin into Joomla/ directory and forgot to copy it outside that can be used in active page and not only in development. Thank you Katia for all you work, best support ever.

Robert

Hello...
I'm stumped...
I am using Joomla 1.7.3.
There appears to be no Module download required.
I have downloaded and installed the AllVideo Plugin plg_jw_allvideos-v4.4_j1.5-2.5
I have also enabled this plugin. When I open the plugin there are no parameters to set, as in the sample image provided on the website.

I have tried to include a YouTube video on my Joomla front page feature article. When in edit mode, I see no AVR Button and have tried using Joomla TinyMCE Editor, JoomlaCK and _jckeditor.

What is confusing is that when I open the AllVideo Plugin, it is described as a JomSocial Community Type: "All Video for JomSocial. This plugin will integrate with All video components."

What am I missing, that is so obvious...?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Just to communicate that I am able to place a YouTube video into a Joomla! article by using the tag {youtube}id{/youtube}.
The AVR Button, however, did not install and is not available in edit mode through any of the above mentioned editors.
