Is AllVideo 3.0 supporting Joomla 1.5?

Joomla 1.5 is not final yet, when joomla 1.5 will become final we will support it in the next milestone version of allVideos.

But J1.5 is already in RC status and ready for productive sites. Why not starting now with developement and when J1.5 goes stable Allvideo will be ready as well??

Because of the new license of Joomla 1.5, JoomlaWorks is still considering if they will suppert Joomla 1.5 or not. See also this thread: forum.joomlaworks.net/index.php?topic=1185.30

Yes thats right, thanks swemmel, but except that RC is a Release Candidate release not final/stable, it may be but it may be not if there is not any official announcement of the final release, except of the situation of the new license, we can not provide any support.

At extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,812/Itemid,35/ Allvideo license is GNU GPL.

When I understood everything right only commercial components have problems with the new license. Joomla 1.5 will be using GPL as well. This license problem seems to be very complicated.

Anyway please keep us informed in case Allvideo will support Joomla 1.5.
