I am using AllVideos to play an mp4 video.  THe video window looks fine in Firefox and IE8, but the control bar is displayed incorrectly in Chrome and IE9.  If I change the Document Mode in Internet explorer to IE8, the control bar displays correctly, so I suspect that the web server detects the browser type as IE8.  Any suggestions on how I might fix this?  I have not been able to find the code where AllVideos checks the browser version.
THanks
Mary

The control bar was not displaying correctly because server protection on my website prevented access to the skin's xml file.  This only caused a problem on IE9 and Chrome.  Once I made an exception for the xml file, the control bar displayed correctly.

I am also a real newbie  with Joomla, and AllVideos is the first video player I have ever used.  I installed it fine, and it works well on all the browsers I have tried, except that I get the exact problem you outlined above with Chrome.  The control bar reports as one pixel too long on Chrome, so the end wraps around and produces a black pixel with the ] character in it (the closing bit of the control bar) on the next line.
I have not been able to fix it, and was intrigued by your solution.  Only problem?  As a real newbie, I don't understand how you fixed it.  Can you please explain again with more detail about what you actually did, and how?
Thanks
