Hi,
I use the allvideos plugin in joomla 3.1.1 and only can play swf so far (maybe flv too, didn't tried that).
But I want to use the internal html5 player and tried several versions with several codecs of mp4 and m4v but nothing plays. In the atteched file you can see what appears on the page. The Player seems to open but the content is only crap.

EDIT
Ok, read the other thread too late and the problem is the responsive layout. And no, it's not the template it's the plugin. I switched over to the original, not modified in any way, Joomla Protostar template and it's the same problem.

EDIT 2
Maybe it would help to simply update the JWPlayer to current version 6.4. There was much progress with responsiveness since the used version 5.10 from last year.

The site is in progress and not officially released yet. I use classic theme now what is ok for the moment. It looks as the attached image is showing. Additionally I can say that if Autostart is enabled you see the canvas as in the attachement and the video in the top left corner roughly a quarter in size of the canvas.

P.S The responsive layout only works when the flashplayer is used (swf). As html5 player (mp4) it does make the described problems.

Hi Katia,

yes, it's the same problem. The image "vid1.jpg" shows it while autoplay, the image "vid2.jpg" shows it after the end of the video.

This seems to be a css conflict with something else in your site.
Did you try using a default joomla template to see how the video displays?

It's exactly the same with the original Joomla Protostar template.

Replied by Terribly Scary Monsters on topic Re: plugins internal player doesn't play mp4/m4v
Firefox 20 used Flash Player for playback. Firefox 21 has built-in support for MP4 files.  There is a bug in Firefox 21.  You can disable built-in support of MP4 files by typing about:config into the address bar and pressing Enter, then double-clicking the media.windows-media-foundation.enabled preference to change its status to false.

Thanks for JayhawksRock on the mozillaZine website for posting this info.  It worked for me.
