I have got a problem with an embedded .mp4 which when runs give the message:
'The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported:
www.hierakonpolis-online.org/files/hk6_naqada.mp4undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined'

I have a local copy of the site installed on my Vista-running PC, with Apache server, Joomla 2.5, Firefox 25.0.1 and all seems to work fine. However, when I loaded the extension into my live website, I got the above message.

I've looked at the earlier thread of mp4 failures and noticed you referred to {mp4remote}...{/mp4remote} and a link direct to a url. I have included that remote mp4 content and all seems fine. I then tried the remote mp4 url to point to the file in my website and still got the same error. So, the server 'looks' ok as it runs the remote content, the mp4 file I have 'looks' ok as it's played out on my local host, and the browser seems to work fine. I'm at a loss as to what's happened and how to fix. Any ideas please?

The 'remote' command I've got in the webpage is:
{mp4remote}hierakonpolis-online.org/files/hk6_naqada.mp4|400|300{/mp4remote}

Try to load the file with the {mp4} tag instead of the remote since the video is located in the same path as your site and provide a link to your video page to check it out.

Thanks for this. But I started off with the {mp4}...{/mp4} tags initially. That didn't work, so then tried the {mp4remote}...{/mp4remote} tags which worked with another mp4 file, but not with my own file. I've loaded the mp4 file independent of Joomla, direct from my browser, so the file location reference is ok. I've opened the same file in the same site locally on my PC with no problem and from a number of different browsers. So it seems that there is something preventing that specific file from opening within Joomla on the web, but as I've tried all combinations of options, I can't see any specific pattern to why that won't work. Everything seems up to date:
Server: Apache/2
PHP: 5.3.13
Joomla!: 2.5.14 Stable
MySQL: 5.5.32
Plugin: JoomlaWorks 'AllVideos' Plugin v4.5.0 for Joomla!

So I wonder if there's some conflict in any of that?

Could you provide a link to your video page to check it out please?

PS. Make sure that your mp4 video is h.264 encoded.
