Is it possible to use the allvideos plugin code within a module and it function properly? I tried to just add the stand code and all that showed was the code no video. Wasn't sure if I had completed the task erroneously or perhaps that was not a viable option of use.

It depends on the module. If you use it inside a Custom HTML module then the "Prepare content" option of the module should be set to "Yes".
