AllVideos 2.5 out now! Native support for both Joomla! 1.0/1.5, new features! was created by JoomlaWorks
Hey everyone,
we're releasing today AllVideos 2.5 which supports both Joomla! 1.0 and 1.5 natively and additionally:
- introduces new video providers, such as Veoh, Brightcove, Dailymotion, Myspace, ESPN and many more popular video sharing sites that were not previously present on AllVideos
- the plugin is written from scratch for ultimate performance. Only 1 query is executed to the database no matter how many videos you got on.
- all video embed codes are all XHTML valid
- Windows Media playback is now done using Silverlight (Microsoft's "Flash" alternative)
- Updated the flash player for FLVs and MP3s
- You can now have custom width and height per video using a syntax like: {youtube}73jd83ke|600|450{/youtube}, where 600 is 600px width and 450 is 450px height for the player.
- The plugin parameters have been significantly simplified.
- DIVX support introduced (and Real Media, MPEG dropped)
- The plugin supports CSS templates now, we've added 2 basic ones, more will come later on.
- Fixed Yahoo and Gametrailers embed codes.
The plugin is fully compatible with existing videos embedded in your Joomla site using previous versions.

I had tested the new versioon on both Joomla! 1.0 and Joomla! 1.5, all worked well.
Then I want to make some suggestions:
1. Add those parameters in the Admin side of Allvideos Plugin for Joomla! 1.5 into language file.
Since you offered a language file in this version, why not put those parameters also in the language file then we can make it completely translated?
2. Restore those Chinese video providers/sharing website
In v2.4 of Allvideos Plugin, you had supported several Chinese video providers. But they were deleted in v2.5. I did not find one of them.
Could you please still support these Chinese popular video providers? Such as :
6.cn
56.com
tudou.com
ku6.com
youku.com
s.sohu.com/
video.sina.com.cn/
You can find a list containing more Chinese video sharing websites here:

In "articles" the videos works fine! no problem.
Article / Content Manager / New...
But on create a empty module "mod_custon"
Extensions/Module Manager/New/Custom HTML/...
with video, using clean tags...no div tabs nothing...only tags of the allvideos plugin, like:
{youtube}5jq3TuBuyKg{/youtube} or {flv}clonewars.4min.christophsis{/flv}
doesent work
show me only the tags and no the video.
??? any idea why?

The link in the frontpage,which pionts to the forum of Allvideos, is wrong.
Please fix it to "forum.joomlaworks.net/index.php?board=2.0" instead of "forum.joomlaworks.net/index.php?board=21.0"

Is it possible to have a non-silverlight alternative to Linux users?
At least an option in the config would already be fine to switch to another method.

I can't seem to play any WMV videos on my site. I downloaded Silverlight and also have the new version of AllVideos Plugin installed in my Joomla 1.0.15 site.

I did install the last version but I do not see the plugin in the article, neither I find any product information at www.joomlaworks.net/content/view/35/41/

With AllVideo 2.5 installed, I tried the following remoteflv tag to load a flv from remote server.
{flvremote}nas.takming.edu.tw/songshen/96freshsing.flv{/flvremote}
Unfortunately, I got the message stated that video not found. I have checked and am sure the video is there. Can someone help me out... thanks
