i keep getting this error message: "Error loading media: File could not be played," when trying to play a video on our front page. It does not matter if the video is .flv, mp4, avi or whatever. I've tried numerous videos and it's the same error every time. We are using Joomla 3.4.8 and the videos are hosted off our own server and the path is correct. The error message seems to indicate that the file is there but not playable. Can I get some help with this please?

Thank you

Hello,

I will need you to enable right clicking so I can troubleshoot the issue.

Sorry that it took so long for me to comply with the right click enable, had to get permission to do this and hopefully you can still help me. The video is located at the bottom of the page.

Thanks again for your help.

@SRIRecords

Are you sure you have setup correctly the plugin? According to your setup the plugin tries to find the video at www.srirecords.com/images/stories/videos/JFD3.mp4 but it's not there. So check again your plugin settings.

Finally, try to use the development version from github.com/joomlaworks/allvideos/archive/master.zip .

Hi,

To avoid any possible syntax error problems, I noticed the video folder was named srirecords.com/images/stories/Video so I recreated it to srirecords.com/images/stories/video with the small 'v'. The files were indeed in the old folder, but perhaps not visible to you. Anyway, I placed a new file in the new video folder called frankdean.mp4 and but it did not work. I then downloaded and installed the developer version of the plug-in and tried reloading the page again, it still did not work and I'm getting the same error message each time. I also tried uploading a 2nd mp4, called I_Walk_The_Line, that also did not work and gave me the same error message. I changed the page back to try to call up frankdean once again for you to review.

If there is something more I can do to resolve this, please let me know. Thanks in advance for the help.

The path of the video is incorrect again. The plugin is looking for www.srirecords.com/images/stories/videos/frankdean.mp4 .

If you want to change the folder where your videos are stored you have to also update the plugin settings.

Thank you, the I had the directory as "videos' when it should have been 'video'. I appreciate your help with this.
