I'm trying to set up a tag in Google Tag Manager so I can track the playing of YouTube videos.

I am using AllVideos plugin (which is great by the way - thank you!).

This YouTube video explains how to set up such a tag, but it relies on using the YouTube embed code. The method requires adding the following code at the end of the YouTube URL:

?enablejsapi=1

Is it possible to set this up with your AllVideos plugin??

You need to enter the entire URL instead of just the ID so you can pass these arguments.

I realised that was the solution after I submitted my post.

I've got the data now reading nicely to my Google Analytics account.

I know this thread is a bit older, but since then server-side GTM has become a thing. I’m wondering if that could be another way to handle listening for these events. I found this write-up: — do you think something like that could work with AllVideos, or would it still run into the same limitations?
