<embed> isn't a valid tag in XHTML templates, but it's heavily used in AllVideos. It should be possible to use <object> instead ... has anybody attempted this? Is there any intention to make AllVideos markup validate?

yeah it would be easier to me if you could just past the entire EMBED tag or html tag to embed the player... I know the whole concept is no html necessary but why is the reason... I mean you need to cut and past the number id... rather than just copy the entire embed tag like all the videos services offers and paste it in..

just seems much easier as you mentioned some of the video service change their video links and parameters so then it requires an update on your part..

it would be cool to at least have an option {embedvid) or something where you can just embed so html players in the page also.. that why you can also use it for video services not yet provided.

I am trying to accomplish same thing. Why use codes to interpret the link and extract the video id, when we can embed this quite easy with all videos tag <embed>.
